She was the Grandmother of Albert Square, her sweet nature, her job at the Laundrette, her relationship with Jim Branning and her constant forgiving and disowning Nick Cotton. Made her the fantastic she was as Dot Branning. The viewers loved her young and older ones. R.I.P June Brown you'll forever be missed ❤
One of the best ladies in TV history, dont care what anyone says who says otherwise, have the upmost respect for that amazing lady, the fact she was acting into her 90s is insane bless her!!!
She truly was a national treasure. RIP June and well done to the writers and cast at EastEnders for giving her an amazing send off on the show a couple of nights ago. And without spoiling it thank you for the small but shock appearance for those few seconds. I hope this means something big is coming xxxx
Came here after rewatching the duchess of duke street. She is an amazing actress. She played Mrs Trotters mother so incredibly well, making the character so very unlikeable. So glad she found great success.

Because it was part of her character. And it made her better since despite being clear she was against homosexuality, she came to accept Colin and treated him no different than anyone else.
She had the guts to play the role to educate the nation that the behaviour is wrong. At the time the nation was in hysteria about aids and June brown was always a strong advocate and never hid her views about change. That’s what makes her so beautiful 💖
As a gay man, I think it actually shows her character growth since those remarks and society as a whole has change and moved on so much. See what Nick used to say to the indians in the shop and the black characters....thankfully we have all changed as a country.

The reality is that for the first 10-15 years Dot was a horrible character - mean spirited, gossipy and judgemental. However, June Brown was a legend
Ello Ma
No! You’re not my son! You’re not the son I wanted! I wanted a son i could be proud of, and what did I get? A drug addict. a thief, a murderer
Oof the homophobia and hurtful remarks about AIDS. Did we really need that included in her highlights reel? 😢
