I've been playing Jakob Hauken for about a year and found that it wrecks midrange decks and is fine vs control but really has issues with goblins and other aggro decks. I got rid of all the "lose all abilities" effects apart from Tamiyo and put in some counterspells and mass bounce to give you more time to play your bombs. Deck got some serious punch from BRO as well: Wurmcoil, Sundering Titan and more.
cHB has gotten me back into consistently playing arena, and your vids are the reason. Would love to see weekends dedicated to cHB with standard left to the weekdays

Shelly, Ertai, Loremaster, and amalgam can't be cut any lower, and u want multiple shellys coz you always need that effect active.
Had two different backwaters in to see if District is more relavent, but if u get hit with the tokens deck or mono red or gruul, you need to reach the point you can stabilize with shelly, and maybe 1 game i would have sacked a district.
another reason waterfront district sucked, is that some times you hard cast something on your turn so sacking mana to draw a card could stop u from dropping a shelly after loremaster activation. still not sold, but it might be correct to run 4 waterfront districts over backwater. people usually scoop before i get to holding up 8 mana and could just spend 4 mana to sack a district and draw for another shelly gain 2.

The other side of the Skyclave Apparition thought is that, because the Commander is exiled, if you didn't move it back to the Command Zone you never get your commander back. The trigger to move it to the command zone only occurs when a zone change happens OR if the next time state-based actions are checked and the commander has been put into the graveyard since the last time they were checked (to allow death trigger Commanders to work).
Early scoop at 19:24? You could have gained control of Mikaeus, the Lunarch with your archmage charm and in the beginning of combat of opponents turn, played gearhulk to take over another dude, since all he had was 1-drops. ;D Never surrender, GL HF

I have milled someone in historic Brawl TWICE! It was with my Rielle the Everwise deck. Mill is NOT the gameplan at all. But teferis tutelage is a self contained wincon that loots, which is important for rielle. And rielle makes tutelage ACTUALLY threatening, which is important for my dopamine levels. So it gets the card slot
I do the dailies with some historic brawl matches, got to make some extra decks in other colors than black and green tough to do it even faster. Maybe Jacob will be next!
Jacob was my favorite commander in standard brawl before rotation. Now wirhout kaldheim and several key cards it is seriously underpowered. Hoping next expansion bring us new toys to give company to rhe fat djinn and the horror.
It’s so crazy this pops up on my timeline. Two days ago I put Jacob in my “big things” Urza edh deck. Every single time I was able to play him that night he popped off. The same friends who laughed when I played him for the first time were saying he was completely broken and unfair by the end of the night. For a solid hour after playing we talked about what a Jacob edh deck looks like. And it looks about as sweet as I imagined!
Thank you for another great video and another great deck. I really enjoyed the mono color decks and the 2 color decks and the 3 color decks ... but how about showing us it colorless can be a competitive deck in cHB.

Honestly it doesn't surprise me that Historic Brawl vids are getting attention. If you're sick of rare and mythic crafting 4's for every deck to be competitive in Standard, you can easily use the one-ofs you open from free packs to build up a fun Commander deck instead.

You can play Brawl without alchemy cards, you don't need the busted alchemy cards to be competitive

Brawl mill can be fairly realistic, but only with one commander that doubles up all your milling, with persistent pertitioners.
At that point it's just a combo deck not a mill deck.
It can also strip the opponents of their resources. There is only so much recursion if you aren't playing a graveyard centric deck.
@@westonmedley2896 If you are not actually killing somebody with mill, milling them is giving them an advantage.
