    My neighbor shared some of his guavas with me recently, I believe the Mexican variety. The smell just wafted through the whole house when I brought them in. The flavor was what I would describe as like strawberry-pear. I wish I had the space to grow one myself; too many other fruit trees. Great video of you and your daughter; she's very sweet and well spoken. Thanks Again. 🍓🍐😀

    Great video, thanks for sharing the wonderful fruits! I had lots of fruits similar to the big one, but flies colonized them from inside. I studied other guavas, different from these ones. The large guavas almost serve a meal when grown properly, some small or medium guavas taste very well too. Some fruits are crunchy, some are firm and sweet, some are soft, juicy and sweet and they are easy to grow. It probably takes a couple years to get fruits by planting seeds. Thanks again for the nice videos!

    Guava's rot at the bottom when they are too close to the ground, the ones with the bigger fruit are more likely to do that because they are more likely to rest on the ground.

    Great video ! I have a question: are your guavas ripening in Sept- Oct ? We planted pink tropical guava from Home depot, it flowers in Jun-Jul, but ripens in March-Apr ( we are in Vista, zone 10). It has nice smell, but tastes like a green banana, no sweetness. I am not sure, if it is so tasteless because it ripens in early spring or it is a normal taste for these guavas.

    • @thetreefather86
      @thetreefather86  3 місяці тому

      Every variety of guava has ripens in a diferent time of year. Right now, I have Indian guavas and other guavas have flowers. If you plant more varieties, you'll have a long guava season
