I somehow managed to make it all the way to the very last scene before the tears came. There is no "bad guy", just people being people. And it's all so incredibly heartbreaking.
There Are No Bad or Good Guys in this game really, good people do bad things. That’s the only way to survive in that world. I used to hate this Game until I understood this.
They did have their ups (the trip to the museum is clearly a beautiful moment for both of them), and we know that Ellie had all but forgiven him the day he died. She was about to invite him to watch a movie together.

And the part where ellie was really young is still called the last of us theres just some other part of the title i cant remember its ellie and rylie in the first one
Years later the lyrics “if i were to lose you, i would surely lose myself” means so much more to me. Ellie literally burned everything just for revenge and it wasnt even worth it. She truly lost herself and everything she had
Tommy lost everything too. Tommy and Ellie only got each other but then ellie abandon tommy on this revrnge mission to live a farm life with Dina just to find out that Dina left her with the baby when ellie left for revenge(again)
@ibigretard9756 nah, Tommy goes to the farm to use Ellie to get the revenge he can't. If he cared more about her than revenge, he might visit often enough that Ellie could recognise his horse. In game one he initially refused to take Ellie from Wyoming to the uni in Colorado, which was a much smaller trip they knew a lot more about, to a supposedly friendly location, and it was to literally save humanity. He refused because he has a family. And yet in game 2 by the farm he's asking Ellie to leave her partner and son to go get revenge for him, despite them both nearly dying the first time. He's a bitter and angry husk, he turns on Ellie as soon as she refuses him. Kinda amazing how much they could show Tommy changed in such a short scene.
@ibigretard9756 thanks for spoiling the whole plot for us !!! J/ K. When reading comments, BEWARE !!!! There is a good chance of spoilers ahead !!!!! It happens more often then not. That is what comments are, opinions on the show/ movie so be careful.
The ending makes me sick to my stomach. The story is unbelievably beautiful. The first game is a sacrifice. The second part is just- killing your soul. And i absolutely love this game.
This game is a special kind of self harm. This game hurts. Not because it’s bad or made poorly (it’s not) but because it’s like ripping a bandaid off again only on a bigger wound. This game is incredible. I’m genuinely thankful to have played it.
I totally agree i think it is one of the best story games ever.Iwill think about this game for probably the rest of my life.I would say that everyone should have the privilege to play it at least once as it brings in such big questions of the morals we have to face as humans.Anyway top tier game :)
TLOU 2 is the definition of wasted potential, that's the self harm I think you're talking about. The game is incredibly good looking for a PS4 title and a technological marvel as to how they managed to get this level of presentation and attention to detail. It has the Naughty Dog seal of quality, but the narrative is so bad, alongside such a convoluted message that the game is trying to sends and fails at. The combat is above average but in no means good enough to support just how long the game goes on for. It borders the line of frustration every time you enter combat again and shutting of the game entirely and not touching it, such a slog to play on a first playthrough, imagine a second or a third.
Thank you for editing out parts where you might of died, gotten lost, or we’re doing weapon upgrades. It Really cut several nessecery hours off the gameplay that a lot of other walk throughs leave in. I’m sure it was tedious editing over 15 hours of gameplay so thank yoh
@@glpI cried when he died I’m 1 hour in and 52 minutes. Thanks for the gameplay. I’m still kinda hoping he really didn’t die but that’s very fucking unlikely. I hope Ellie gets vengeance for her and me.
Getting infected and dealing with the impending doom of mortality, would have been less painful than watching their last conversation, knowing how everything ends up.
Rip to Joel a real survivor he fought thru so much to keep Ellie and himself safe even when he couldn’t fight anymore, sucks the way he had to die he didn’t deserve that at all.
@@shirosenju3054Yeah, him getting murder was bound to happen. We’re so bonded with his character and (most of us) understand why he did what he did to save his world. Joel was and still is a great character. The game did a good job as to why Abby (and Ellie) went for vengeance.
He absolutely 1000% deserved, he literally damned humanity (billions of people) to suffer from the zombies and not have a cure to make a decision that only he wanted. Not another single person wanted what he wanted, not even Ellie. He was incredibly selfish, and killed many people out of that selfishness. I’m not saying I don’t sympathize and understand it. But in terms of any of the main or important characters that got killed in tlou 2, he deserved it the most. He’s a great character though.
@@x0x0skiller2thats Moral ambiguity in a nut shell. Don't know wether you have a child or experienced losing a child but Given the exact identitical conditions in that context you too would dam humanity for someone you love. I know i sure as fuck would.
@@antonioinoa6961 it may be my lack of empathy, but hell nah. I wouldn’t want to live in a zombie infested world, no one would. I think I would give up a child for the world to make it better for everyone, but you’re right I don’t have a child. But also, sacrificing Ellie is bad for two people tops, great for at least millions. Saving her is great for millions, bad for 1. While I sympathize with Joel, one option is clearly better for everyone than the other.
This game really shows who is able to see the whole picture and multiple sides of a situation compared to who is blinded and deffending just one side of a story based off bias emotion
Abby just sucks. By "being able to see the whole picture" you just give yourself an excuse for liking a person that basicaly just killed your "dad" for the reason of revenge. Personally I hated every second Naughty Dog made me play with that bodybuilder Bitch.
Most important word that really summarizes the meaning of this game is perspective. Failure to understand perspective in this game will bring it from what it my personal favorite game of all time to a B tier game at very best to an eye which doesn’t see it through a clear lens
Joel really did avoid being around many people and always tried to do everything on his own. Seeing him getting killed by strangers he once used to avoid is just too sad
@@Dagger_323it was not 'lame' and 'cheap' i think it was very thought out as Joel didn't even know who his killers were while the buildup, including the Abby's backstory, was very necessary and thought out as well. you just sound mad that he died and while the rest of us may be, don't be ignorant because Joel did kill innocent people
@@Dagger_323for the record, you only think Abby is 'unlikable' because she killed Joel☠️. Joel killed her father, it was bound to come even if we didn't see it.

This game will always be one of the most psychologically triggering projects ever. In Part 1, every time you killed your enemies, it was out of self-defense or survival (food, drinks, medicine, safety). Until the hospital mission, where it was too ambiguous. Even though she wasn’t in a good place, Ellie wanted to go through with seeing the Fireflies to offer her immunity. To bring meaning to everything she’s been through and lost. But Joel denied her that, although it is understandable why he did it. And Ellie deserved and needed more happiness prior to making a choice like that. The Fireflies were not savages or brutes like the other enemies in Part 1. They were just doing something noble, even if probably wouldn’t change everything. Notably, community and freedom, which includes the human right to choose. However, in the HBO show, they, including Marlene, went against what they stood for but NOT telling Ellie that she had to die for the world to be saved. Maybe that happened in the game too…Very hypocritical still. Especially since the world apparently did not deserve to be saved. Either way, this set the chain of events for the storyline of Part 2. How both Ellie and Abby’s sides wanted vengeance on each other while also showing their good sides. So many “shades of gray” and the compelling and corruptive concept of Hate and Revenge definitely doesn’t make it easier. So I love this game for the gameplay and graphics since it reminds me of Deadpool. But I hate this game for its storyline because it was too dark, conflicting, and powerful.
I’m replaying this on PS5 and I’m honestly enjoying it way more this time around. It is so difficult to play Abby for half the game after what she did to Joel. It still has its issues don’t get me wrong. But a lot of the reason for the hate is just our personal bias. We love Joel, and find it hard to sympathize with his killer. That being said, her motive is understandable. She literally has the same motive as Ellie, going after her father’s killer. It took me so long to just cope with what happened. Despite the fact that it’s not real, it’s a piece of fiction. It felt so real, I was so immersed in the story. Just like I was in the first game. I really do like it, I’m enjoying Abby’s story way more this time around. Although I believe some writing choices are still a bit strange. And some parts go on for way too long in Abby’s story. But still, solid game. It’s so damn hard to play, yet you feel the need to see it through. I don’t think I’ve ever felt that way playing a game.
Are the graphics very different compared to Tlou Part 1 PS 5? , I just finished part 1 of the PS 5 remake and plan to continue to part 2, is there much difference between part 1 of the PS 5 remake and part 2 if I play on PS 5?

Joel's watch only had one hole in the face fir part one, and now that he has a second daughter, it's reflected by a second hole in the watch his first daughter gifted him. I love it
guys why is no one talking about yara?? she literally died protecting abby and lev, got her arm chopped off, accepted “lily” even though there religion said not to and still was the best sister to lev. she’s so underrated it’s actually sad
12:13:47 one of the most important scenes for abby. She finally sought her redemption and was able to move on from her fathers death because of it. It is so ironic, how her guilt for murdering Joel moves her to do a humane thing.
No screw that Abby still gets everything and Ellie gets nothing. Abby gets her revenge and a happy ending. Abby and her friends are all idiotic as hell

Thank you for this amazing walkthrough. Already got spoiled about Joel's death ,so jumped into Part 2 right after the Part 1 walkthrough but didn't expect Joel would leave so soon in the first part of the game. Like the others, struggled to watch Abby's part since she murdered Joel but eventually get to know about her throughout her journey and able to understand her and other character bonding each other. Tbh this is the first game that hit hard in every direction (pardons my description). It's beautiful yet heartbreaking. Thought I'd see more of Joel's part but what can I say.
What a heartbreaking, complex and challenging story. One of the greatest media experiences I've had in a long while... Thank you so much for uploading this. It's... It's just too good.
@@kazsuzzi160 no, I did not empathize with a psychopathic killer who is part of a military group that kills and murder people. The girl who killed a man who just saved her life with no hesitation. Not only that she brutally bashes his head in in front of his daughter figure while she's begging for her to stop. She literally hits him so many times she has to take her jacket off because she's starting to sweat. She has 100% killed and tortured many many MANY people before Joel. She also betrayed her "friend" Mel by sleeping with her boyfriend while she was pregnant. Abby was beating the shit out of Dina and when Ellie told her that she was pregnant she was glad. She was enjoying the thought of slitting a pregnant girl's throat who had nothing to do with it. Abby literally takes pleasure in hurting others while Ellie never did and was always remorseful about it. You TLOU2 copers need to realize Abby is a fucking piece of shit and literally everything in the game points towards it.
Honestly not looking forward to it. I don't want Naughty Dog to add even more questionable morals. They should stick to Crash Bandicoot, they don't handle adult themes well.
Coming from season 1 of the show and taking a total of three days to finish this entire video, I went from loving the story and the new characters introduced, to being heart broken to see Joel meet his fate, to growing a resentment towards Abby and wishing to finally see her die, to sympathizing with Ellie while knowing how devastated she is from the events that took place, to seeing her grow as a character along with Dina and Jesse, to finally being fulfilled as I watch Ellie satisfyingly and coldly murder Owen and Mel and only for the entire story to turn my head right back around with Abby's side of the story. I watched multiple characters grow and become people, watched them as they become more disheartened and cold, seen people get destroyed emotionally and as I watch them I realized that they were all coming from something; these are people trying to survive and trying to deal with loss and grief, they were all in such unbelievable pain that they were all turned into monsters that you will come to love and hate and understand. Every part of the story had a reason for existing, I saw my most hated character (Abby) grow, I saw her deal with loss and grief just like Ellie, These characters are no angels and no matter what good they come to show, none of it would ever be enough to repay all the sins that they all have committed. This whole story managed to twist and bend every possible emotion that it could throw at you, it was near perfection, if not then perfect at all. This story is going to be a gold mine once it has been finally adapted live action, I have nothing more to say. The story is a 10/10 for me and nothing will ever change that. ps. Gosh I wish I had an Owen in my life. He was perfect.. I hate this game for killing him xD
When Joel was getting beat to death I literally started to cry it was so sad when the game started I new that we could not trust Abby and I was right RIP Joel Miller we will miss you so much
It's kind of cute how they want us to like Abby's dad and sympathize with him by showing him caring for that zebra, which tells us that he loves animals. Only to have him in the next scene advocating for killing a 14 year old girl in the hopes that it might produce a cure, without even bothering to wake her up first and ask for her consent. Fuck it if I was Joel I would've done much worse than shot him😂😂
I agree with everything else you said, but they didn’t want us to like Abby’s dad. They were showing us her young, innocent and naive perspective of Ellie, Joel, and her father. That’s why they made him look so good natured, and angelic-it was through her perspective, her rose tinted glasses, and to her, her Dad was an angel. Which the evil Joel took from her.
@Flake_The_Feluga So is Abby braindead or something? Is she a psychopath? On what planet does a child hear her dad wants to perform an autopsy on a still living, unconsenting 14 year old girl and still thinks her dad didn't get what was coming to him? If I get whiplash from the stark contrast of seeing that guy being all sweet and happy-go-lucky and shit one moment, then in the next scene he advocates for crimes against bodily autonomy, then unless Abby is straight-up stupid she should be getting it as well. Hell,he wouldn't even have died if he just stepped aside when he saw a lunatic with 8 guns strapped to his backpack bust into his operating room.
@@SorinPetre-ir1wf She was a CHILD. It was a broken apocalyptic world, and all her life she had been led to believe her father, because there was nobody else. There was no internet discourse or literary discussions on bodily autonomy, as she was too busy trying to stay alive and navigating her adolescence. She was naive, yes, but only because she, literally, did not know any better.
@@xmcerer True because were it not for the internet or great philosophical debates,no one would know that performing an operation on someone that will lead to their death, without asking them if they're ok with is,is a seriously fucked up thing to do. These apocalypse people are too dumb and busy with hunting squirrels and shit to realise that, right?
I don't care what anyone says but this is literally one of the best games ever made if not THE best. The story is so beautiful and depressing at the same time. The most heart breaking thing is in the end when ellie told abby "just take him" she wasn't just talking about Lev but also of Joel and when she went back to the farm house and left Joel's guitar at the window to show us that she let's go of Joel's death. This is why I'll never get over the detail this game holds it's incredible I will forever love this game it's so overhated 💔
tbh the ending it is mid, like what happens next????? and while i want a new game i feel like its gonna be so cheap cash grab trying to profit off of the franchise which will make the quality drop
Love this game to bits but I don't really have time to play when I do have time I watch this video bit by bit, feels like I played the whole game thanks man.
A small detail I like is that Mel genuinely looks so conflicted. I feel like she was actually a very empathetic person, which is why she followed Abby on that mission to find Joel. But when they find him and it’s all actually happening she looks really disturbed. I hated that Ellie killed her (and her baby)… I would’ve thrown up too.
I suppose being immune would make her a better fighter. She knows she can be less carful, let them get closer, take bigger risks because she won't turn. Everyone else has to deal with the ever looming risk of being bitten or scratched. Must at least make her a braver fighter
Wow this game is painful. It’s like a slow burn and you’re heart hurts by the end. It aches for a while after and during. I can’t stop thinking about it though. The things they held onto killed them inside and also helped them survive. It’s such a complex story… It’s not the story we wanted but it’s compelling nonetheless.

@@ibigretard9756 WLF More like WTF-
@ibigretard9756 nah, Tommy goes to the farm to use Ellie to get the revenge he can't.

Okay but like Abby and Ellie are two of the best written game characters ever.

tbh bro after a year or so after the game i think he does mainly cause this man is a killer so many people for himself

Well I sure as hell have!
Are the graphics very different compared to Tlou Part 1 PS 5? , I just finished part 1 of the PS 5 remake and plan to continue to part 2, is there much difference between part 1 of the PS 5 remake and part 2 if I play on PS 5?

Fuck it if I was Joel I would've done much worse than shot him😂😂
fr fr 😂

3:46:35 I just threw a bottle and let the clickers attack them then finish off who ever is left!
If I was Ellie I would have finished the job.
Ellie:"don't kill her she's pregnant (referring to Dina)
Also Ellie: kills off Mels that's pregnant
Wow.. Ellie aren't you amaizing
She didn’t know that Mel was pregnant
A small detail I like is that Mel genuinely looks so conflicted. I feel like she was actually a very empathetic person, which is why she followed Abby on that mission to find Joel. But when they find him and it’s all actually happening she looks really disturbed. I hated that Ellie killed her (and her baby)… I would’ve thrown up too.
This video helped Me to get thru the game cause sometimes I didn’t know how to do something . Thanks 💞
Eliie at 14 is better handling infected than Abby at 23.
what are you even talking about 😭the bias is crazy bro

If Ellie wasn’t immune she would be dead already, so obviously she can fight monsters better bc she has a whole immunity to them
I suppose being immune would make her a better fighter. She knows she can be less carful, let them get closer, take bigger risks because she won't turn. Everyone else has to deal with the ever looming risk of being bitten or scratched. Must at least make her a braver fighter
it depends on who’s playing the game
People who post full gameplays of games w/ no commentary have my heart
1:24:33 Joel saves Abby from her death. Later on, she kills him. / 15:19:18 Ellie saves Abby from her death. Later on, Ellie spares her life.
“HOLY SHIT, LEV!” Made me cackle like a crow who’s spent years in clown college
Wow this game is painful. It’s like a slow burn and you’re heart hurts by the end. It aches for a while after and during. I can’t stop thinking about it though. The things they held onto killed them inside and also helped them survive. It’s such a complex story… It’s not the story we wanted but it’s compelling nonetheless.
do you know if there will be a third game????
Btw guys the game ends at 14:07:00 the rest is just credits yk?
i wish 😭
