Appreciate the support, Mad Kaiser! I'm excited to see what the sequel will bring with it. Would love to see Xanadu become another pillar series for Falcom to work on alongside Ys and Trails!
@@MikeTheFerretKeep playing, the P3 similarities will get a lot clearer as you go on, especially once you meet the chipper Mitsuru analog. Additionally, the Labyrinths get a lot more intricate. I personally recommend trying to speed run them while 100%ing all the objectives and trying to maintain your combo, since not only does that get you the best rewards, the routes and enemy/object placement after immaculately designed to incentive this kind of play. Remember to leave some enemies and objects undestroyed if you want to try and explore a possible dead end, so that you can maintain your combo count on the way back to the main routes.
Tokyo Xanadu was a new blood project give new people at Falcom the chance to make a game without it affect trails or ys its using assets from Cold steel 1&2 and the Ys vita titles to cut down on cost
I'd say there definitely is a lot of talking and story sections between combat, but I find that's to be expected from a JRPG, so it doesn't exactly hinder my experience in any way.
Stellar review! Proud of you for Aksys hitting you up, and looking forward to what the eventual sequel will lead to

Tokyo Xanadu is basically "What if Persona 3 was also Kingdom Hearts?"
lol I can kind of see that! Although I'd compare it more to Persona 4 personally.

I have heard there is a lot and I mean a lot of talking and big story sections in between combat. Has that been your experience?
