Wallaman Falls is Australia's HIGHEST single-drop permanent waterfall! + Magnetic Island Day Drip

We'd never heard of Wallaman Falls before arriving in the area. A viewing platform of these incredible falls can be accessed by an easy walk from the car park. For the more adventurous, there's a 2km hike to the bottom with over 300m of vertical.
After exploring the gorge, we made our way towards Townsville and got ready to head out to Magnetic Island. Simon's Mum was working on the island, so it was a great opportunity for us and the kids to catch up.
Magnetic island is a beautiful place to spend a day, or 2 or 3 would be ideal if you have more time. Although it was a little cold for a swim or a snorkel, we had a great day exploring the beaches, cafes, pubs and the jetty at Picnic Bay.
