  • A semitrailer truck needs a third of its diesel consumption to overcome its own air resistance. This is where BETTERFLOW comes in and optimises the aerodynamics of trailers to reduce the overall diesel consumption. You save fuel cost and reduce your CO₂ emissions at the same time.

Ein klasse Konzept und ordentlich durchdacht. Wenn der LKW am ende des Videos in serie gehen würde wäre es einfach nur schön, endlich Effiziente Aerodynamik auf der Straße zu haben! Hut ab und weiter so :)

Would an inflatable nose cone be realistic? Flattening the underside give you anything?what about adding a plane wing shaped axle?would lift of axle gain or be less efficient?

Allow me to critique, rear air flow/turbulence needs redirection yes, yours is a bit complicated, I think simple fold outs will get the job done, second, smooth those wheels, the rest looks great, albeit complicated solutions to a simple problem, Funny I guessed German Engineering before I went to the channel. I am thinking the same thing, but I hope to solve this problem with something inexpensive and serviceable by an operator with standard hand tools and household ladder. thanks

      Hello, Mr Smith,
thank you very much for your feedback. Our demands on our products, especially on the rear wing system, are particularly high. We want to offer logisticians efficient solutions that are suitable for everyday use. What you consider complicated is the result of years of development and optimisation. The rear wing systems must open and close automatically. This is the only way to ensure that the system is always open when the aerodynamic effect is greatest. On the other hand, the system is also closed in urban areas - and damage is avoided when manoeuvring. You can find much more information on our website: www.betterflow.com/en/rear-wing-system/
      Yours sincerely
      The BETTERFLOW team

At many loading docks, do not pick up the trailer. Because the system increases the thickness of the doors, once open, and the overall width of the set.

Hello, we completed 2 million test kilometres and several thousand loads and unload situations with pilot partners! We did not receive any damage reports or complaints. Thank you for your feedback

Yeah I'm looking at this "there's a extra $25,000..." "and $10,000 more" "$10,000 when that breaks" yeah there is no way the little bit of fuel saved will pay for this system

In Europe a liter of diesel costs at least €1,6 in many places. Fuel consumption of a 'normal' and new semi is between 20 and 30 liters per 100km.
A liter if diesel has 10 KWh of energy, thus the energy consumption is between 200 and 300 KWh per 100 km.
The new Tesla semi with improved aerodynamics and regenerative braking would an energy consumption of less than 120 KWh per 100 km.
The difference is an impressive 180+ KWh per 100 km, this is the equivalent of 18 liters of diesel. On a single day, if you drive 800 km that is 144 liters, at a price of € 1,6 that's € 230...in one day.

@realityandnaturepill I'm thinking that you don't comprehend normal thinking or more directly reality. On paper in a perfect world this adds euros to your pocket, but with the initial cost, completely of the design and the inevitable reality that this will break or get damaged, it will never pay off. People like you can easily get talked into socialism, Marxism or communism, because you lack a firm grasp on reality or human nature. It's like trying to replace my electric bill with a $40,000 solar system. It will never pay off and I've failed from first principles because I believe carbon is bad and fuels are finite. You don't get it yet but hopefully you will.
