I don’t socialize my boy beagle. The sweetest dog of my own, but very much reactive to bigger male dogs. Very impatient when take a walk, and his first reaction when meeting other people is to bark. I regret not socializing my dog since he was a puppy. It’s a lesson to learn.

He can still get a bit better with some change in his life. Is hard to socialize because u depend on other humans' behavior & what they decide to go about life with their own animals. People don't care about others, especially when they see they don't have a reason which will affect them, so they have to care. Try to socialize ur dog with small dogs, which r easier to physically control if they dont interact very calm from beginning. But recognize(what most people don't) a certain level seriousness is normal in animal just in people when they r meeting. Try to do it without being afraid; pay attention, but let them do what they normally need to do as animals. Hope they make some progress.
