Oh my God ... Finally ... Mandy was really great but the brutal music industry in The UK, destroyed her badly. They refused to play her music thinking how she could be a bad influence for the teenagers due to her marriage with Bill Wyman.

yep, depressing to see the low point of music in the late 80's with the over saturation of SAW diarrhoea and Mandy being groomed at 13 and clearly suffering from ED and looked under the influence' in her debut single positive reaction (she looks do much better in this video like a different person ).

Mandy looks so much healthy here compared to her debut videos(i just cant wait and positive reaction) where she looked severely underweight and had a glazed coked up look.

I don’t get what the USP with Mandy other than having model looks is. Would love someone to enlighten me. We already had a Sam Fox, Kim Wilde and Kylie - all talented blonde females - well maybe not Sam Fox so much but you get my point. Her voice seems quite weak to me. Not sure the opo world lost much but her not being in it. That said it is pretty awful how her personal childhood turned out and shame on her mom being more like a pimp than a protective guardian. Am glad to see she’s doing well as an adult though 😊
she was groomed at 13 by a powerful man with connections in the industry so that explains alot.
Also the late 80s was saturated with talentless eye candy blondes (you missed Patsy Kensit in eighth wonder) but Mandy who was just as talented and was equally attractive failed to have success because she was blacklisted by the mainstream media, no radio station or TOTP would broadcast her songs because she was in a relationship with Bill Wyman..
@@Adlata oh gosh yes Patsy Kensit lol. I thought she was v pretty but again v mediocre weak voice. My Q was more directed at people in the comments many of whom keep saying she’s amazing. However I agree with you there’s nothing special about her at all beyond looks. Also trust the media like BBC to take moral high ground on her situation whilst knowingly allowing the likes of Jimmy Saville to remain in their employment. Mandy did def fall victim to their hypocritical stance.
