I guess it's no surprise that so many Roxy Music songs sound almost as good today as they did back in the day. Classic! Plus, they make it look so easy!
Oh crikey I'm 18 again. Missing Andy Mckay but a brilliant rendition of one the greatest songs of the 70s. Sadly my computer could not make this any louder.

Yes you can be cynical about 60+ ex rock and roller but I like this take on an old classic - he hasnt just repeated the original word for word, lick for lick. Enjoyed this!
Will always be one of my favourite songs, sadly this is not a good advert for a classic. Sadly age doesn't come alone. The guy will always be a hero though.
one of my favourite tunes, if you cant tap your feet to this you have no rhythymn or soul :-) I thought the female drummer rocked the feck out of the song dai iawn
I agree...mad, mad, mad, BF Roxy aficionado but feel that BF lately is fading vocally but hey?.. I'm not yet in my 70s!! Trying to find a TOTP Pyjamarama vid but no luck...I'm sure he did the TOTP in a white tux...oh well!
@@DougKercher On good day he still manages well. But there are some bad days as well, and then the supporting singer is good. Just saying, I don't blame him, he still is classy.
Not surprising really given it's many, many years later, but the drummer seems to be the only one with the energy and excitement this song originally stirred up.
I can clearly here someone else in the band singing every word with Brian, the only reason I can think of to do that is because Brian Ferry thinks his voice is not as strong as it was, that’s understandable but I still think Brian could of pulled this great song off by himself.
@@peterjackson1677 just listen to the original version from the 70'ies. BRYAN LOOKED HERE SOMEHOW LIKE THE INTERNATIONALLY FAMOUS GERMAN CHANSONNIER UDO JÜRGENS WHO DIED IN 2014 AT THE AGE OF 80. BUT NO BAD OMEN MEANT NOW....!
The start is too fast. This version is a travesty only classed as homage to the past. I first saw Roxy Music at the Rainbow Theatre (previously the bFinsbury Park Astoria). A group us were in the balcony front row and impossible not to jump up and down to this song. Im sure we nearly brought the balcony down. This was the highlight of the gig although Psalm with a 100 piece male voice choir on stage ran close. The support act was an unknown called Leo Sayer in a white clown's outfit singing The Show Must Go On. Very nearly stole the show, and clearly going to be a star .... before he turned into a perm haired burke. Ferry remains a genius given where he took Roxy and where he is now.
Nothing on Kate, Elton, and the average British Joe, but must even the lounge lizard pack pounds? It almost seems to be a requirement of British age, while in East Asia quite a lot of people, especially performers, get thinner.
So, all the avant garde nuttiness that made the original single so compelling and fun, when I was an adolescent lad, has been stripped away. When RM lost Eno, they lost a lot.
too low key, yeah we get it your older but its about performance brian,we dont care how old you are just keep the original energy, check out the damned for energy for an old band, age means nothing in these modern days of rock just put on an energetic show like its 76
Give me Paul Thompson on the drums any day. It is not the same without Thompson. Never will be either. It's like trying to re-vamp Led Zepplin without John Bonham. It doesn't work.
Great lady drummer - really enjoying herself.
One of our greatest artists ever.
I just love watching this drummer as has been said before, she is a joy to watch and listen to, she puts her whole heart into it..

Plainly marvelous.
Loving the Guy Pratt bass line...
Watch Vic and Bob's version of the 1972 TOTP version of this. It's hilariously accurate

Bryan Ferry, one of the greatest rockers/artists of all time! I put him right up there at the top, an equal to Bowie.
