@@32Barco7 yeahhhhhh thats not really true at all, sorry. the standard lowest pitch for a double/upright bass (both now, and historically) is E1, (sometimes C1 or B0) which is the exact same tuning as a modern bass, (B0 is the standard tuning for a modern 5 string bass guitar.) the deep sounding nature of the bass in this is probably due to the harmonics of the upright bass samples that were used, which are less harmonically rich than most modern electric basses, which gives a thinner, but also deeper sounding bass, as there are less high frequency harmonics in the sound, so the lower frequencies of the sound are more prevelant ^-^ if you're interested, an octave below an upright bass, or a bass guitar, would be E0, which vibrates at 20Hz, which is the lowest note that most humans can hear :)
I think part of what makes this work is that (aside from the solo) no part of the song is aggressive sounding in any way except instrumentation, so if you remove the fuzz you just get an interesting, melodic song, and if you put medieval court instruments in, you get fairly atmospheric music
I feel as though with this recent trend of covering songs in a fashion that imitates the instrumentation of medieval and some ancient music, goes to show how timeless some of these tracks are. Some of them sound like they're straight out of some banquet hall from seven centuries ago. How the songs are produced may change, but the inherent music upon which the songs are written is eternal.

Alot of these sound like awesome versions of old degraded versions of videogame tracks and wrestlers themes but its great

These need vocals. Having the adjusted lyrics is the best part of the medieval covers
The problem is most of those people (maybe all?) use Early Modern English instead of Middle English, which is about 100 years too late.
Respectfully disagree. I can't listen to any bardcore covers with vocals in them.
