The fact that they are created beings should put any idea that they should be worshiped to rest. These beings, regardless f supposed technologies or "evolution" did not create the universe they inhabit, and the universe did not always exist. Honestly, I'm not sure how a person saying that an "ET exposure" would not impact their faith is understood by Heiser as them saying that they would be "fine with it". Am I missing something here? Because to me, it sounds like they would say what I believe.. ie that if ET is suddenly showing up on the planet, that it is NOT truly an extraterrestrial, ie from other planets, but demons POSING as ET. I didn't believe in UFOs until I saw one myself in the presence of two friends who also saw it. Afterwards we compared notes and agreed that we all had seen something that wasn't a plane, helicopter, balloon, ball lighting, or swamp gas (lol). I have to chime in on a couple things I think need to be thought about by all groups. IF ETs WERE to be disclosed as a real possibility, even in microbial or something that could be looked at with the naked eye, would that really be a bad thing EVEN IF people were to momentarily replace God with Aliens. Wouldn't that cause more people of all the groups to look more intently at the Bible themselves? What would that do the the world view and perspective of how the planet is being treated by the governments of the world? Because if it is only microbial or small critters being disclosed, then wouldnt the only source of ET knowledge and wisdom still come from the ancient scriptures? If that is the scenario people might be more inclined to academic reevaluation of their books. Which I cant say is a bad thing. I think there would be more benefit than harm if people were to believe that SOMETHING greater than themselves who knows better actually might have REAL reasons for instructing the humans about what is right and wrong. How about the teachings about even 1 % interest being evil? would they take that rule mentioned at least 9 clear cut times and apply it to the banks? Would corporations operate the same way? God is speaking of Himself and the heavenly Host, which He made before mankind in Gen. 1:1. "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." I didn't believe in UFOs until I saw one myself in the presence of two friends who also saw it. I have to chime in on a couple things I think need to be thought about by all groups. IF ETs WERE to be disclosed as a real possibility, even in microbial or something that could be looked at with the naked eye, would that really be a bad thing EVEN IF people were to momentarily replace God with Aliens. Wouldn't that cause more people of all the groups to look more intently at the Bible themselves? What would that do the the world view and perspective of how the planet is being treated by the governments of the world? Because if it is only microbial or small critters being disclosed, then wouldnt the only source of ET knowledge and wisdom still come from the ancient scriptures? If that is the scenario people might be more inclined to academic reevaluation of their books. Which I cant say is a bad thing.
