People should try to watch this group's performance, here on YT, on the ' Marc Show ' (Marc Bolan), 1977. The quiff needed coercing back, then, as well. tremendous. I'm afraid despite the great groups on that show, (especially ' I am A Fighter ', on a different show, with ' Lip Service' 's magnificent !! singer), it still left me wanting to see more, (much more), of the ' Heart Throb ' dancers, (Alison, Pam, Isabelle, etc).
Steve played a solo spot with Dick Tracey and myself in the back room of a pub about a month ago. One song, 10 minutes, Elvis story, climaxing with ‘That’s alright li’l momma’…. Impossible not to like it. Impossible. It’s on Biz Bizley on UA-cam. There’s some other good gear on there too.
Why did they cut it at the Solo? . i was really enjoying that . i had the pleasure to play Guitar for Steve in 1999 . I don't no if he was a solo Artist at the time or maybe the management couldn't afford the Whole Band haha . Just a small gig that was packed on a Lovely Summers day He's a real nice guy too .
Rock'n roll in the best Eddie Cochran tradition. Should've been a big hit. It seems Steve should've gone into Italian westerns acting. He could've given Clint Eastwood a run for his money .....
The local disco, we were all punks and too cool. This came on and me and a punk girl called Karen gave it our all to this, our version of jiving, lol. Great memories!
Drummer used to be in locomotive who had a hit with rudys in love in the late 60 s , think ub40 used his recording studio for there first record , Bob lamb .
Steve gibbons massively underated! Brilliant.
wicked tune , 1977 one of the best years of the 1970's era for music by far , especially with this tune . love it :-)
What's not to like???
;-) ;-) :-)
Great Band, great tune.
I thought this was cool when I was a 17- 18 year old kid back in 77, happy days
I love the drive and beat .

Pretty sure he did this gig where we met the man himself at the bar after the set. Tiffanys Shrewsbury.

First saw Gibbo when he fronted a band called the Ugly’s & that was about 1965 ish. Been a BIG fan ever since. 👏👏🎸

Greatest band, and grossly underrated.

Just makes ya feet tap, and ya head nod.
Even better live, one of those guitar intros that sends a shiver down my spine.
