One of greatest nearly made it bands of recent times…….This wall of sound is the perfect antidote to the current music scene. Saw them live supporting Peter Murphy. So accomplished with a great stage presence. So for now they’ll remain one of the best kept musical secrets.
Humility....the name off the game... That's why the universal lord makes them great......live this band... Awesome is not the word....this is brilliant
Listening and watching this band made me want to go get a black leather jacket, put on my cowboy boots, black jeans and black t-shirt and start dancing like it was 1991 all over. Hair down to the middle of my back. Dancing like there was no tomorrow... This band has a pleasant rush of 70s psychedelic guitar with a mix of 80s Goth. This band is only a trio. My God what fun! Thank KEXP!
OH HELL YEAH. Gotta love KEXP for continually introducing me to such amazing talent. These guys totally filled my need to hear this type of music. Great combination of 70's psychadelic, with a sound reminiscent of some of my favorite bands of the 90's and 2000's. Take a touch of the Doors, add some Black Angels, stir with a blend of STP, Monster Magnet, Pearl Jam, Jane's Addiction, Soundgarden, then serve with a unique flourish..... great stuff!
First I thank Spotify for introducing me to these wonderful bands, then I thank KEXP for giving us this gift. DESERT MOUTAIN TRIBE takes me back to the 80's in my gothic world. standing ovation straight from BRAZIL. Greetings.
Saw them live last night and I can say that was one of the greatest performances I've been to. Could definitely imagine myself listening to them on a big festival stage
DMT is terrific. So stoked I found them this evening, in the KEXP studio. Found All them witches and Jonathan Wilson too thru the KEXP, absolute bangers!
If you missed the 1st band at Union Transfer in Philadelphia last night 2/12/19, you missed a great band. Bring that excellent voice forward a little bit and WOW! REAL MODERN ROCK with a touch of a psychedelic and a ton of energy. Oh and Peter Murphy, the headliner, a typically great show. Did you hear? Bella Lugosi's Dead.
Went to see Reef a few months ago, these guys were the support band for them, and ever since then I've been listening to more of their stuff and they are actually very good, I do recommend this band if you're into psychedelic rock👏👌🏻
Wow!! 25 minutes and three seconds of pure class. DMT blasting out real proper songs with such ease!!!! Hope to catch them live in the not so distant future....if this small set is anything to go by it will be nothing short of epic to see a full gig!!
I know you're touring the USA in November, I just wished I lived there!!!! I'm waiting patiently for you to tour here in England, maybe a gig or two up here in the Midlands would be greatly appreciated, got a few mates who'd be up for it as well, just keeping my fingers crossed!!!!!!
i wish someone would have sneaked in front of that baldwin grand...i just hear a piano chorus or contra melody filling you all out. very serene musicality, confident and sure of your vision. thank you, boys.
I don't know if that ''you would fill a massive stadium with that sound'' at the end had double meaning lol. And maybe it's a half truth for which I have mixed feelings about the band. I can't help to get that ''stadium rock'' feeling in many of their songs, but some others, like Chemical Genius, Riders to the Sea or Coming Down, strike a chord to me, and it's still interesting to hear them. Their intent to claim a heritage from psychedelic rock and their mixture with post-rock and even grunge is a pro, and I'll definitely keep an eye on their evolution.
For the love of god, KEXP, why do we have to sprint across the room, running for the mute button, for, amidst all this stellar music, you insert the nails on the chalkboard of voices, Cheryl Waters.... It's not fucking worth it. It's CRUEL. STOP FORCING THIS PERVERSION ON THE PUBLIC.
For the love of God, can someone invent a Cheryl Waters voice blocker? That fucking voice from hell woke me up. I cannot believe KEXP does this on purpose - beautiful music and voice from fucking hell. It insane. I'd rather hear nails on a chalkboard.
Hey DMT (by the way, your logo rocks): your debut ranks with the best of recent years but I'm disappointed that the bonus tracks (obviously "Coming Down" among them) were not including as part of the original LP since they are obviously demos with a much less polished production values. They are as good (if not better than a couple of weaker songs on the album) and would have been that much more listenable compared to the rest of the CD, Regardless, the alternative rock world needs to hear you guys. Hope to see you on broadcast or cable TV soon....

we are doing it sometimes. But Seattle is a bit too far from home to bring an extra member
Joy Division meets The Cult.
Lovely
That is how you do that.
Was that bass borrowed from Peter Hook?
where is this band now?😢😢

I haven't seen a 3 piece put out so much noise since the holy trinity packed it in 2015.
I miss Dmt
They should have one more guitar player
