Robert is a natural presenter. Could've been his calling but for his work on the evening shift.
He is just adorable at any age!
“Hello I’m Robert plant and I’m kinda glad you’re watching” what the hell 😭😭
How cool is Robert, I would watch anything he was presenting..looks great and sounds great...sounds like a genuine nice guy....
I like his clean cut look of the 80s. You could see his handsome face.
Love that voice!
MTV in those early days - first few years - was amazing. Nothing, but videos. NO game shows, NO reality shows, NO cartoons, NO BULLSHIT. JUST videos, and often special guests - the musicians themselves - presenting them. It was all so new at that time, and really had a positive effect on the music scene, and Rock n Roll in particular. (sigh) those were the days...
Viacom bought them out in 1991 and while not all most of it went downhill from there and then. You know that MTV was not the only music television channel...or the first.
Thee's are The Days 12.31.23🕯🤸♂️🪷✨️
Такой уверенный в себе, в СССР такого никто никогда не видел. Все были зажаты и боялись быть такими как мы есть. Thank you.
He was so hot back then! 😍
robert have new album now best album pictures at eleven and moment ciao mtv not really as trasmitted in the america in italy little now a reality and another
Hard to believe that Robert is only 34 here. A mere kid .
He ruined himself physically and vocally with the smoking, drinking, drugs, and letting his teeth rot out as you can see in 1973 from the 1976 film, "The Song Remains The Same".
dude looks 50 to be honest...Guess the 70s took a toll
@@k.t.5405 There's no question. That's what smoking, drinking, and drugs does to you. That and you can see in "The Song Remains The Same" that he let his teeth rot out in 1973! It was very disturbing and disappointing!
@Coogan So...why are all of his teeth rotten out in the 1976 film of the 1973 concert, "The Song Remains The Same"?!
Here he was 80' dandy guy. No more wild zeppelin boy of 70' :)
Until 1994 when he joined up with Jimmy Page.
I was 13 when this aired. My parents didn't get cable til a year after this. Thank u for posting this
He reinvented hinself perfectly.
The "head" of Led Zeppelin, Robert Plant, as guest VJ. Wow!
This looks more like 1983 by the looks of the thing he's doing with the elastic, which was from the Principle Of Moments cover
WOW! I've never seen this! He almost speaks too fast at times, eh?! This is SO way cool! I hope the original source has been saved!!! HELLO!!! He is imitating the cover of his solo studio l.p. at the time entitled "Pictures At Eleven"!! That was WAY SO cool!!!
This is awesome! It would have been great to have grown up in this period of time.
He is a natural at this
Shit he did not age well from the mid-70s but he's still a good-looking man to this day
I think he still looked hot performing on Celebration Day 👌
It's crazy that this about 15 years after the debut of Led Zeppelin.
Well done Robert !!! I use play the string game !! Showed my granddaughters .
I miss MTV!
someone should list all the videos he played since they're missing, most were obvious but some were kinda mtv rare.
Great material Mark. Thanks. Was this after the release of Pictures At Eleven?
Post-In Through the Out Door period.
a new mtv for youtube. popular place where all can gather to see where all the new stuff is coming from.....
would have liked to hear at least a tiny clip of each song by his favorites.. This is silly.
I think it's because of copyright detection system, and even some of these airchecks are regularly targeted, so it's such a shame, but at least we got some glimpse.
Should have left the music in
I like you best Robert when your,e strutting bare chest across the stage 🤘❤️
everything counts by D.M cane out in late 1983 ...
I'm sure it's from 1983
As I am in the UK and not sure how the show worked did the guest (i.e. Robert) pick the content for the show. Interesting choices and an insight into his taste in music if he picked the material.
Che amore mio
Robert may be West Midlands, but I'm sure that he was descended from Northwestern English people.
On his mother's side he has Romany ancestry. On his father's side... the name Plant is a shortened form of Plantagenet, which was also the name of a Royal family historically. He also feels an affinity with Wales and Welsh history so maybe some Celtic in his genes. Whether any of that equates to Northwestern connections I don't know. The Staffordshire branch of the Plants/Plantagenets, has been there for many centuries and it's still the area he was born in and lives in now.
He looks so different now...
Over to Mark Zep and his amazing collection.
Robert Plant could have had an extra career!
this is from 83
as if he needed to introduce himself
