  • In this video, I use Roland Barthes Theory of the Obtuse/The Third Meaning to explore Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice's theme of, uh, justice, through all of the isms: racism, colonialism, Marxism, feminism, racism, etc. I go over what screen writer Chris Terrio has had to say about the film recently, and talk about Zack Snyder's other films the trilogy, Man of Steel and Justice League. I don't review BvS, but instead try to analyze it in a new unique way I haven't seen many other folk do and provide some insight I stumbled across. I get some things wrong along the way, but hopefully you still find something worthwhile here. Let me know what you think of all this in the comments, but if you say something mean, please make it creative so I have something funny to pin.
