We who grew up in the 70 & 80's had the privilege of growing up mega groups plus mega superstars in men & women. Like ABBA, QUDEN, BEE GEES, then Julie Andrew's, Barbara Strastriesand, Linda Rondsdstc and the men. which will no one will ever equal musically is Neil Diamomd, Barry Manilow, & John Denver. We were the lucky ones that got too listen to this kind of wonderful music. I really feel that nothing will ever equal, too their level They all were musical genesis. How lucky we were us music lovers back then.

4 people about 24-25 years old sit, work, make songs and sing them. Most of their songs are masterpieces, just perfection and they do that just like ordinary everyday work. But then after decades when we come to the present years, there are thousands of qualifed musicians in the world but they can't make songs like this. Did they know some secret of the music?
Simply the best quartet ever and their arrival on the scene in the 70’s could not have been any better. I grew up with their music, it shaped my adolescent and educated me to be a better person. I am now in my 60’s yet never get tired of listening to any of the songs… Amazing group! Long live ABBA… wish them all the best.
Best quartet ever? There was once another quartet, 4 guys that could sing and harmonize, they all were excellent musicians (they could play instruments), 3 of them were fantastic songwriters. The amount of quality music output was phenomenal, 34 top 10 hits. Their name was the Beatles.

When on Spanish TV, they sang Chiquita in Spanish. Here they sing a little in German on German TV. Then all their singles are in English. They were incredibly smart and great at marketing besides being talented. Thanks to whoever uploaded this rare TV footage. I never got to see any of this in the US. I missed all their European TV appearances. At least I get a second chance years later. UA-cam is like a time machine! I get to go back and see this great music from the past. Thanks to UA-cam! ABBA Forever!

I still remember seeing this performance for the first time on Polish TV when I was 12 or 13. There were no VCRs at the time and each Abba appearance on TV was a big deal. I'm so glad I can watch this whenever I want to, now... Thanks for sharing.

I never get bored of any of the ABBA performances. I am Indonesian, but used to live in the Netherlands during the mid 70's right in the middle of ABBA's popularity years. Their songs are unforgettable and bring back so many sweet memories of my childhood and my late parents back. I feel sorry that they had to split from each other.

The video quality leaves a lot to be desired, but given that it's been recorded on VHS 4-5 decades ago, it's understandable. The music however and the quality of these ladies's outstanding voices is eternal.They're the best pop band out there to this day. Their uniqueness sets them apart from everyone in terms of musi, sound, character and modesty. A bygone era where the music they made was a labor of love, for the fans and quality over quantity prevailed. An era without exaggerated plastic surgeries, piercings and the likes. An era where everything was simple and most of all, likeable.

Unbelievable whoever found and posted this thank you for helping me. West Coast Influence and simple Broadway, Opera, and Folk with no drums just keyboard a rhythm instrument with a massive Twist of Sweden it's a hundred year phenomenon.
She is a typical example of a very beautiful young Swedish woman. Gorgeous to look at. She is my favourite member of Abba. As a teen I loads of Abba posters and lots of Anna pictures.

Excellent performance. As I know one of only two in the so called Eastern Block (the second was in Poland). It's a pity that quality is not on the scale of this precious clip.
What is "unique" about this performance? It's playback. So, good prank. And back in the GDR, the audience was "chosen" anyway. Nothing against the music of ABBA, the songs are great - arranged in the studio - but live? I have never seen a real live concert of ABBA. Even the applause on this video is not real.

I lived in Germany then, they were the rockinest group all over the media, on the radio 24 7, in Every disco club from Frankfurt to Munich. Very fun times. My Girlfriend "Frieda Schiedler" Introduced me to them, I felt electricity! Never danced before, but havnt stopped since then.

1974, this brings back memories. I was a 19 yrs old in the United States Marine Corps headed to Okinawa for a 13 month tour. Love it go back to 1974.

Nothing against the music of ABBA, the songs are great - arranged in the studio - but live? I have never seen a real live concert of ABBA. Even the applause on this video is not real.

I lived in Germany then, they were the rockinest group all over the media, on the radio 24 7, in Every disco club from Frankfurt to Munich. Very fun times. My Girlfriend "Frieda Schiedler" Introduced me to them, I felt electricity! Never danced before, but havnt stopped since then.
