  • A rather lengthy attempt of me explaining how I make things out of paper. I wish this video were shorter but I already cut out a lot of things, I hope you get some value out of this. Besides, 3 hours of footage down to 15 minutes isn't too bad.

    Good lord! You have a real talent for mechanics. Figuring out how to make something with varying degrees and points of movement and flex as a young kid with no instruction is pretty amazing. And now taking it as far as you have. You are really something else, dude.

    Sculty paper, is this is not just paper sculpture, it is a work of art, the details are well worked, this is sculpture, an action figure doll is just a toy, this is wonderful.

    6 years late but i have been trying to fin a channel as good as yours for so long, youre probably the best and most indepth tutorial maker for cool things like this. you remind me of someone named "yamiferanmi", you both make peper creations that are humans but both have such different styles.

      i dont now thats alot of glue.... good glue is pretty pricey....Good tasting glue is cheap though.

    How did I just now find you!? Been making toys for a couple years, went from stuffed animals with wire frames to full Human builds made of wood. I’m definitely not going to copy your design, I just think what you’re doing is wonderful, and I might take inspiration from your joints. Keep making, this is amazing stuff!

      im planning on making a general grievous using your technique. but i think im gonna use woodsticks for the limbs and pegs, then wrap it arround with epoxy to make it strong. Im finsishing in college so i dont have much time, but as soon as i got something ill post a vid or photos and show u how it worked :3

      thanks dude! Yeah dude, I started making these when I was 10 and they were much more basic back then. I'd say over the years there's been 5 or so different levels of paper models, this one would be the most complex and advanced I suppose. so I will make a video explaining all the different levels and ways I've had making them over the years :)

    i made mine although i havent follow all your instructions...i was grounded not to use the laptop that time so thats why i came up with your method remembering it hard as i could then after im done getting grounded i looked up to your video again and when i saw it i think for a sec this aint the method i used before its its kinda different in so some ways because i have horrible memory and because of it i camed up to my own joint thanks paper patriot your skills have gave hope to come back to paper crafting its like a perfect way to level up almost as you thank you.

    This channel seems to be very interesting to me as I have built my own action figures out of Air Dry clay with Wireframe material for articulation : and some figures with legos consisted to articulation and even some with oven baked​ clay
    I am happy to experience watching these videos and the history of what it has to offer.

    When I was a kid, I used to make cars and robots with joints to (sinple shaped objects, squares, etc) and I´m are very proud of then. But THAT is a mind blowing technic for the joints, incredible. Makes me want to go back in time and teach it to myself. Its really awesome. Congrats for the skills.
