Members of the Kalenjin Talai clan say they will sue the government of Britain unless it compensates them for allocating the huge swathes of land currently under tea in Kericho and Nandi counties allegedly grabbed from them besides the torture they suffered in the hands of the colonialists. The community claims they have been living as squatters while some sought accommodation from relatives after being pushed out of their parcels of land back in the 1940s
