Sometimes people do bad things to become rich- they cheat, they lie, they steal... they even manipulate or pose as religious leaders (of course, not all rich people are bad)- just the super competitive, lying, conniving ones.
@kattu nattu deepest core of every human is a Brahmin considering the technical meaning of the word. Only some lucky find this self in their life time.
Manoj, please note that most of spiritual beings live a life of a beggar, so spirituality has nothing to do with rich people. But definitely even rich people can be spiritual.

As money are bound to increase one's sins, that would eventually lead one's own soul to suffers in the nether world. Because life on earth are not permanent for human but just a trasistion process which every life needs to go thru.
