This is the song that my wife and I danced to, every time it came on… I lost her November 13th, 2022. Every time I looked into her eyes, I saw my whole world.
When one of my children married I requested the band to learn that one for the reception. They did and it was magnificent! Their vocalist had the pipes and everyone was on the floor moving together to it. My gift to the newlyweds... Yep, it is a great wedding song and so much more!
I had the opportunity to meet Steve Perry in Visalia, CA at a Denny’s of all places back in 1990, I think it was. He actually invited me to have a cup of coffee with he and his buddy. I can say one thing…he is a truly nice person. We had a great conversation. Love his music, love his voice.
It has been reported that once during an interview the great Elton John was asked who he listened to and he responded with a comment about "that group from america with that singer ..............I can't think of his name offhand, but his voice is amazing" He was talking about Steve Perry - leaf voice of Journey. They met some time later and Sir Elton called him " the voice ".
I absolutely love somebody like you that can really appreciate great talent like Steve Perry delivers every time with every song he performs. There is NOBODY that could EVER compare to the feeling, emotion and passion he puts into his songs. He is absolutely the best. I truly love your videos. Keep up the great content. 👍❤️
This song came out in 1996. A year later, this song was my "Our First Dance" at my wedding. Truly wonderful memory. Going on our 25th anniversary in a few months.

Talk about the day the music died. When these guys stopped making music together the band Journey died. They can't duplicate the magic and music without Steve Perry, all their fighting arguing is sad because without each other this band will never be the same. It's a sad sad loss.
Journey is a great band, seen them at least a dozen times, you will love their stuff whether hearing it for the first time or not. Try Wheel In the Sky, Separate Ways and Who's Crying Now. They are heard at many weddings! 😎

Journey is in my opinion. In the top 5 greatest American bands. Steve Perry has the perfect voice and Neil Schon's guitar work is breathtaking. This is a great song and shows Journeys versatility.

This my favourite Journey love song. Bands like Journey Reo Speedwagon, Chicago etc have love songs that are for " grown ups"and mention marriage in their lyrics unlike love songs by boy bands. I hope this comment makes sense. Agee with you 100% about the orchestra in the video. Steve Perry gradually disappears towards the end. I have it on DVD. MAY I suggest love songs by Reo Speedwagon, Chicago and Air Supply. In still single at 50 but BOY do I love love songs by all these classic 80s bands❤️🎸🥁🎹
@@davidsonchris737 I'd love to see Air Supply and Chicago live in concert but as I live in Northern Ireland what are the chances? Having said that I would be prepared to travel to the rest of the UK to see them as I have done to see Motley Crue and KISS. I've also went to Dublin to see Journey support Def Leppard in case they hadn't enough of a fan base to come to Belfast but they did eventually come to Belfast with supporting acts so I ended up seeing them twice. I don't mean to sound desperate but as I'm single maybe I could end up meeting a nice single lady at one of Air Supply or Chicago's concerts? Ah well a man with a mixed bag of musical tastes can dream can't he?🎸🎹🥁
