just ordered a xr900 bmw black 2022 version, at 13.400euros with all the extras. i know is not a 3cp ,, but is good enough for me for everything i need.
I run a a GS so you'd think I'm brand loyal but the Yamaha much better bike, after 20mins I took the XR back to Williams didn't like one bit engine was terrible
The big plusses - semi-active suspension and lower seat height (I'm sawed off). The BIG negative that is enough to make me not trade up from my 2019 Tracer 900GT - the display. Yamaha, why in the world did you 1) point the twin displays at the rider's belly and 2) abandon the day/night background auto switch function that came on the prior bike? Many reviewers have commented on the rider-unfriendly nature of these displays. Yamaha - What were you thinking?
I agree with you Michael (the display). I can not understand the idea. I also have a 2019 model, but the basic version. And even the basic version is more pleasant to me than this new invention. And my attention is also drawn to the unfortunate exhaust sensor. It is easy to damage with anything that flies above the road surface.
Unpopular opinion, but I think it’s fine. I use it every day and it’s just not an issue. It’s just a very minor thing for reviewers to complain about so they have something to say, but as an actual user, it’s fine. I never think about it.
The Tracer 9 GT is a fantastic machine... until your throttle fails mid overtake, having failed before, and Yamaha deny there is an issue and don't want to know.
@@Surpriseify Heard of it on several forums. Eventually after throttle failed mid overtake and nearly killed me, they eventually agreed to do something about it: changed throttle bodies, injector bank and throttle sensor. Not done enough miles since to know if cured.
@@DaddyBiker_Reviews Damn thanks for putting it out there, what a strange issue. Sounds like maybe it can be avoided by disabeling and then reenabeling the quickshifter in the software every time the battery has been disconnected.
Underrated channel
Mat's house is very impressive!
Looking more and more like a TDM all the time. Brilliant.
Was thinking that as well
Bikes keep getting better and better.
Once you see the scuba goggles on the dash you cant unsee them. I'll stick with my beautiful red 2015.
The sound was fine 😊👍😊
excellence review exactly what we need
The dash is the deal breaker for me it's a distraction
I'm with you there. Not sure what they were thinking.
The head lights look weird too.
Yeah, I can't believe that look made it through the design process!
O yes. They need to change it to next version. It's kinda very small and visible when you're on track.
Maybe you could give one of the fuel gauges to Aprilia!
In your Tracer 2016 review there where better wheelies, so i stick to my old 2016 model :-)

Cool story
Subtitles on the riding bits would have been a good idea...🤦♂️

Harry's starting to look a lot like James May

The Quickshifter, the engine, the suspension and all the rest of the bike ist just great. Forget about the funny display! I love mine

@@MrHellga I have 1 on demo this weekend how are they compared to the mt09
Seems like a great bike. But my goodness the scuba mask 🤿 dash 😷
I keep thinking Easter Island statue.
not just yamahas it is the best triple atm
Imagine how popular this would be if it had 6 headlights and 1 fuel gauge.....
Good channel.
Surprised not to see the S1000XR in there. Too Expensive?
Lots of good affordable, non rocket ship, stuff coming out at the moment.
Microphone sound is bad! Not the wind noise, but the up and downs! The test is good!
Sorry but that single headlight looks dreadful, what were they thinking of ?
Best? It's the only triple they make.
The first Tracer 9GT review I've seen that doesn't mention the twin TFTs looking like an ugly face looking back at you over the 'bars.
A bit confusing since you're between South Africa and Germany. A little bit of context in the future for viewers on that would be great😉
It’s been this way for awhile. The main host moved back to Europe (bc of Covid I assume), but the show has always been based in SA.
Jeremy Clarkson's long lost cousin??
But $15,000?
Turn up your microphone please 😃
Is this Jeremy Clarkson??
Much rather my Ducati Multistrada 950s more kit, and better value for money than the T9
If they only fix that stupid face-looking double screen

Never heard of this on the new model.
The old Tracer 900 had some issues.

@@DaddyBiker_Reviews i own the 2021 version and again i have not heard of this issue on the new model.
Sounds exciting however

Why are modern Kawasakis so horribly origami robot ugly??
Mate this is a Yamaha😂😂😂
@@noudgoertz hes talking bout the Kawasaki's that popped up in the comparison
I stand corrected.
You got to change the beginning it’s old and out dated
