One of the best performances of this work I've heard. Dramatic, sensitive and exciting. Just as the composer intended I'm sure. Lovely phrasing, with dynamics close to perfection. Shame it's a live performance as those who can't help themselves from coughing simply spoil the experience. Wish they would stay at home!!
@@YangXiViolin Ha Ha, or maybe a strong laxative to keep them out of the auditorium ;-) But seriously, I hear this all the time. People have no idea how to stifle a cough or sneeze when sitting in a concert hall and good acoustics make it sound even worse. They can't help it, but make no effort to minimize the noise. Once again, I just loved this performance of this seriously under performed Quartet. Brilliant.
An excellent performance of Edvard Grieg's "String Quartet no. 1 in G minor, op. 27" - which has evidently been accidentally mislabeled with the details of Felix Mendelssohn's String Quarter no. 6. When you make the correction, I will remove this comment. (This is a nice channel. Thank you for it.)
WOW! What a fortunate constellation of this quartet and Grieg’s music! Thank you.
Thank you so much for playing with this passion and skill. You have enriched my soul

@@DavidA-ps1qr The Shanghai Quartet made a highly-regarded recording that was released on Delos, if you want to check that out.
