@@voxydeI'd like to kindly request some kind of vellum jiggle fat physics when you have the time. But I'll check out anything you feel like making. This one was huge. I've been trying to make good drool for a long time.
Is it possible to add this to an alembic file? Im going to be doing a lot of creature animations with alembics that I'm going to want to bring into houdini and do cool stuff like this then bring back into unreal for rendering. WOuld love to know if this would be possible with c4d alembic animations?!
Thank you for this. I've been using houdini for almost a year and spent a couple months studying to learn and piece together this specific thing for a drool effect that I wanted. While my network works, following your video here has given me more insight to other workflows. Thanks again! I'll also likely be checking out some of your paid courses as well as you have some things specific to what I would like to learn. P.s, would love to see more slimey effect tutorials!
This one and other tutorials is so good. I like how your use houdini and your rendering shots kind what i what to see. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
Man this is just excellent. Just started uni doing VFX and the way it's being taught just isn't working for me. These tutorials are so much easier to understand. Thank you :)
At 13:31 were you increase "Number of points" to stop them from grouping up on one point to make the V shapes. For me this offsets the connections and sometimes this moves them so they are no longer attached to the mesh, which causes problems later with vellum. A solution would be to just multiply the legnth of the connections so they intersect the mesg regardless? But im curious about what you think.
Hello, i have a question, when i trying split object head and lower_jaw and add 2 null node and type @class==1 i have only 1null - no one object 2null - all 2 object... I mean its didnt split on head and lower, its split on 0 object and 2 object, help me pls(((
What's a way of doing it without the "split" option if a mesh isn't made in two parts? Like the way you said you would do it by just selecting the points from Scatter?
Hi, I aprriciate your course. I've enjoyed the part of Houdini but I've been completely new in compositing so i couldn't follow along this part. Could you reccommend a course to help me firgure out sir?
Amazing man thank you, i have a question what is the keyboard shortcut to connect between 2 nodes, example select one node and select other one and preee keyboard shortcut to connect between them.
One weird issue I ran into was the class attribute skipped a bunch of numbers, I had @class, @class2, and @class12 but I am using a different skull that has 3 parts and I had to do some cleanup on the model before this so maybe that caused it?
hey thx for the tutorial but i have one issue with connecting points there all converge to some point so it create like a v shape, i tweeked pc open but it don't change much
Its not finding the points from the second input most likely. There's definitely a wire plugged in the wrong place or some setting missed, I would suggest you grab the project files and compare the setups :)
WTF XD. Day by Day im more and more impressed by your work. It may be selfish question... but do will you do short video about basics of TOPs / CHOPs ? Just like Basics of the Basics :D Nvm. Keep looking forward for your videos :D.
Hands down some of the best and most practical, clean and helpful tutorials on UA-cam.
Appreciate that! Thank you

really happy to see you back!

Ofcourse! the end result is a polygon mesh, you can save it out as alembic. you can also import any alembic files in Houdini and should work perfectly
Best houdini knowledge on the net for sure 🤘 Thanks man

This is insane as always ! Such a unique way to use Vellum compared to what we see on youtube ! Haha
Thank you brother :) Glad you like it

Wow.. subbed.. great tutorial
Excellent ,thank you man keep doing more
pure quality
Wow it's looks so cool❤
Good approach to a similar task we both made. Yours feels more organic but, of course due to more constraints, slower. Well done as always :)
Yooo thanks man! Love your tutorials :)
@@voxyde same with your tutorials :D
Honestly I found both of your videos immensely helpful! Thanks again to you both!

select the nodes and hold alt while dragging the wire

Most definitely. Always delete all attributes on any meshes you're working with. I usually only keep UVs and Normals on most meshes (if they have it)
How can i export slime to any 3d soft and have it like a mesh?
nice!

u best
Can this slime effect be exported as model and used in Maya?(i am a newbie)
Yes you can drop down an alembic rop node and export the file as alembic!
Would this process work in Houdini 18.5?
I think so yeah! vellum solver might be slower though
Would i get a good results using mantra to render
Yes! Mantra is amazing, just super slow
@voxdye pls do you mind sharing the final settings you used ,, cos my saliva keeps breaking apart
@@zacksv yo the project file is in the download if you go to the link in description
