      @@voxydeI'd like to kindly request some kind of vellum jiggle fat physics when you have the time. But I'll check out anything you feel like making. This one was huge. I've been trying to make good drool for a long time.

    Is it possible to add this to an alembic file? Im going to be doing a lot of creature animations with alembics that I'm going to want to bring into houdini and do cool stuff like this then bring back into unreal for rendering. WOuld love to know if this would be possible with c4d alembic animations?!

    • @voxyde
      @voxyde  Рік тому

      Ofcourse! the end result is a polygon mesh, you can save it out as alembic. you can also import any alembic files in Houdini and should work perfectly

    Thank you for this. I've been using houdini for almost a year and spent a couple months studying to learn and piece together this specific thing for a drool effect that I wanted. While my network works, following your video here has given me more insight to other workflows. Thanks again! I'll also likely be checking out some of your paid courses as well as you have some things specific to what I would like to learn.
    P.s, would love to see more slimey effect tutorials!

    At 13:31 were you increase "Number of points" to stop them from grouping up on one point to make the V shapes. For me this offsets the connections and sometimes this moves them so they are no longer attached to the mesh, which causes problems later with vellum. A solution would be to just multiply the legnth of the connections so they intersect the mesg regardless? But im curious about what you think.

    What's a way of doing it without the "split" option if a mesh isn't made in two parts? Like the way you said you would do it by just selecting the points from Scatter?

    One weird issue I ran into was the class attribute skipped a bunch of numbers, I had @class, @class2, and @class12 but I am using a different skull that has 3 parts and I had to do some cleanup on the model before this so maybe that caused it?

    • @voxyde
      @voxyde  8 місяців тому +1

      Most definitely. Always delete all attributes on any meshes you're working with. I usually only keep UVs and Normals on most meshes (if they have it)

    • @voxyde

      Its not finding the points from the second input most likely. There's definitely a wire plugged in the wrong place or some setting missed, I would suggest you grab the project files and compare the setups :)
