18:03 it doesn't sacrifice the piece for two pawns as the bishop on e3 hangs
"This might be the most boring game I've ever played" - well, that's the idea of Petrov
agadmator mogging me in the thumbnail.
0:46 the zen mode on lichess is truly a blessing as you completely avoid any trash talk, any insecurities that comes from rating difference, and you're able to just focus on the game. The only thing you hold accountable with zen mode is yourself.
I wish they placed button for it differently. Every time I try to move the board on my phone I hit this button.
This type of 'boring' position is much tougher to handle for me. Because I have no real plan, and often neither does my opponent
Therapist: "Closeup Agadmator cannot hurt you, he's not real."
Closeup Agadmator:
"People play this but they lose" is my opening repertoire 😆
Its interesting how when your opponent plays fast, your immediate reaction is he must see something I don't
And when his opponent plays slowly, agadmator's immediate reaction is that his opponent must see something agadmator doesn't.
@@davidanderson_surrey_bc 😂
"Hey , are you the horse from 'Horsing around '??"
Yes I m
Yes I m
The knight captures in middle of board hence Horsing around
@@michaelmassaro4375 I was making a BoJack Horseman joke 🤣
Great explanation of the game, thanks so much Agad😊
Not boring, very interesting. I love these 10 minute games you play.
I swear I remember agad posting a video with this exact line and showing us the tricks with f4 and how to refute the variation.
"I will play a game before I record that video just to get my brain a bit more operational." Coffee usually gets my brain operational. I never thought of playing a game of chess to get it going.
Same here I’d rather have my brain functioning at its peak after some coffee like in daily games when you wake up in morning and depending on how many games you have going on to respond to their last moves
Agadmator: "He's obviously calculating something."
Me: "Or gone for a dump."
You always seem to get your opponents into time trouble. Well done!
This opponent was not in time trouble he resigned knowing he was about to be down in piece exchange
Is there any possibility of you doing a video about the handshakes in chess? There are quite some moves and gambits to see there 😊
3:03 -- This giving away of a perfectly good d-pawn (instead of dxe) baffles me, the engine, and your opponent for well over a minute.
I just realized i don’t think I’ve ever heard Agad laugh, or even chuckle for that matter😂
Inheirent trait typical of Romulans.
I wonder how his supply of Romulan ale is doing...
He does now and than actually
He laughs maniacally when he checks his bank balance.
I believe that opening line was played in The Canidates tournament.
I've seen black have this opening fairly often, at least in bullet (on lower ratings like myself). It seems to lead to a pretty even position even though it looks odd.
I have always thought that Black could not play this, since I read it in a book some forty years ago. But I had it against me in a blitz game and could not refute it.
13:00 Bc6 would have been a elementary blunder punished by Bxg4.
The way to play against this to maintain an edge is 7. dex5 Nc6 8. Nc3 when white returns the pawn for some initiative in the endgame after 8… Qxe5 9. Qxe5+ Nxe5 10. Nb5. In that endgame white is slightly better with good winning chances
Yay!, another game!
Nice game
7:50 I was hoping so hard for black to reply with Be6
This game looked like two castles about ready to battle. When the forces were assembled and ready to attack the king took a nap.
At 12:34, doesn't Bc6 from Black just hang the knight? Bxg4 even comes with check, so it's not like Black has a whole lot of room for cleverness.
i play the petrof. But more like the stamford gambit. Still this is the first time I was interested in the analysis of the game than the game itself. Interesting how you had checkmate with the bishop capturing the edge pawn, but he didn't. It was not an equal position, besides, you had him on time.
I think I would have gone over the bump in the opening, once I accepted queens could be traded, as at some point you did accept it too, and I was galvanized by that. It was an intimidating opening on his part, after all.
Also i guess, possibly, a sub-par engine (as they all, that we know of, currently are) is always weary of check-tempo advantages. Perhaps that is the reason it insisted that you take the bishop with the rook , coz the check was available as he did actually play it. For an engine, that can complicate a position easily, that remains an advantage (check to win a tempo) for quite sometime, perhaps.
Petrov also there’s a Stafford and Stanford Gambit
His opponent could’ve played Nxf2 threatening a Rook but instead opponent played Nxh2
@@michaelmassaro4375 Nxf2 blunders the Knight, Bxf2
12:42
Nah, Bc6 blunders the knight with check.
Agad never fails to play rapid chess on lichess and bring good chess content
He doesn’t fail you must watch Gotham as well I can tell by your comment I watch Gotham as well
Yes please check
I liked the game as it was so unusual.
Wow its back.
Mario is a big fan of Bojack horseman:) which names him even more likable
are you a fan of will taylor chess? hes good.
Hikaru probably has played every opening under the sun wow no fight at all in your opponent I guess he realized he’s coming up short in the trading of pieces kind of a weird position the way the pieces were facing each other hardly any pawns moved Thanks for the game enjoy your day
gg
6:00 "you can't really win a pawn here", why? Bxc6, Bxc6 then Bxa7, is that bad?
Ah can be trapped 😅

Nothing like a bit of horseplay to warm up... Then the show begins
Bc6 hangs the knight on g4
What an anticlimax
Hello old friend
People do play it, but they lose - good to know!
One of the slower Agad opponents.
As a completely new game.
Much to my wife’s dismay, I love a bit of rapid action.
In the bed?
@@blue_red_screen No... on the river.
Sir ,I am a big fan of yours. Can we play a game ? It's a request
Very strange game
#AlekhineSaga
Why did he resign ?
White exchanges a Rook for a Bishop and Knight.
Also, Black is too low on time on create counterplays.
@@GreenOrochi89 thanks for answer could you wright down all the moves that lead to a win so I can work them out. I have a zero chess rating at the moment
@@jaymurray6051after Rxd7 Black has to capture with the King to avoid the skewer, but still Bxg4+ wins the Knight and saves the dark Bishop.
He resigned because he would be down in pieces after all is said and done being down a minor piece is enough for some players to resign
@@michaelmassaro4375 thanks for the answers so there was a final result it was inevitable to save time. I’d definitely like to work out for myself how to finish it as I don’t about ending chess. It’s very interesting
People play it and lose (against Magnus)
Finally, I am first to comment on Agadmator's video.
May be not 😢

Your games are interested to watch than other you show with weird engine lines
For you perhaps but the GM games have many engine lines to get the full scope of a game it’s good to discuss the possibilities
@@michaelmassaro4375 then why you watched this😂😇😇
Whats Antonio's fav position?

This being a video of Agad playing on Lichess, I know beforehand that he is going to win. You should post some losses too.
He has. Also draws. Though let's face it, we always want our heroes to win.
u should stop putting these closeups in thumbnails bro
