Hamilton, Thanks. This was by far the best talk ive heard on cosmology through a Christian lens (Its difficult to find any from an Orthodox standpoint). There are endless debates about geocentrism and flatness, but this was a fantastic take that hit on some great things without getting lost down rabbit holes. Much appreciated.

Good stuff Seeaphim. The Borde-Guth-Vilenkin Theorem has always persuaded me of a finite universe. And the notion of the structure of the universe scales all the way down to the atom. Good thoughts
How should we understand the relationship between Michael and Gabriel? They’re both called the “Supreme Leaders of the Heavenly Hosts,” etc., Jonathan Pageau has associated them with the right and left hands, and you’ve associated them with the sun and the moon, so I’d be very interested in hear more of your thoughts on their roles and if you could elaborate on the symbolism there.
Thank you for your work, Seraphim! Could you please make us a video on the Church's understanding of the structure of man? (Body-mind-spirit division, nous vs logos, etc.)
2:35 This can't be stressed enough. The reason why a lot of science keeps chugging along even though they make no sense is because the alternative is for the scientists to say 'I don't know'. And that's kryptonite to them.
That's an excellent video. My question is: if the firmament is just the icy boundary between Heavens and the material Universe then why God places the heavenly bodies INSIDE the firmament? Maybe the firmament is the solid boundary in the outer space but synecdochically is used to describe all the space above? Love to hear your opinion.
Where's the lack of curve? I'm agnostic on the shape. But that question doesn't sit well with me. Where's the curve? Sure, but where's the flatness? Is it really so easy to prove it one way or the other?
Doesn’t the word for firmament and it’s root speak to a solid thing? As I understand it, it appears to be. A solid firmament holds back the waters above. Doesn’t this show an ancient cosmology of the ancients? And that God accommodated the ancient Israelites cosmological understanding, yet revealed Himself as the Creator? Interesting talk. But I wonder if the ancients would have thought about all these things.
Man, you've got good enough cred with stuff i already knew that i trust you generally about stuff i didn't, but sometimes you mention things in passing without going into detail that I'm like "wait, is that right?? Because if so, that would change the way i think about a lot of things, but he said so little about it". For another example i remember one Q&A you mentioned in passing you thought Romulus and Remus were real people and i don't even know where to begin to look into that for details. Just an absolute mental hit-and-run 😅
therefore the earth turns on itself then turns around the sun and the solar system itself travels within a galaxy that is part of an expanding and continually evolving universe, but for thousands of years the constellations, planets, comets have followed with perfect cadences always the same spaces in the firmament visible to us. If we believe in the current concept of the universe, how do we explain the mechanical precision of comets and various meteor showers?

Another outstanding presentation! Thank you Seraphim, you are always in my prayers
Massive loads of flat earth biblovers think the Bible is a flat earth text: fixed; immovable; firm; four corners.
@@rethinkingrevelation4702 it is

My man's here talking about the cosmos with his galaxy brain.

Did you just adverb a poetic device???

Good explanantion
Are black holes governed by fallen angels?
Where's the curve, bro?
😂 came here to drop some flat truth??
It's a good question

You can't. Its flat, stationary, and geocentric. This is what the scriptures teach.
Earth is not a round ball of water, and the stars , sun, and moon are inside the firmament, and above the firmament is the waters, the deep .
