  • Technician-Invented. Technician-Proven. The Attic PRO was invented by a
real HVAC technician who was also
    a fireman. As a one-man operation,
he was looking for a way to help lift
furnaces and air handlers up into
attics. One day on a training exercise,
he used a winch to pull a person out
of a man-hole - and the Attic PRO
idea was born. Through the SUPCO™ TradeFox™ program, we were able to help him through additional engineering, large scale manufacturing and product distribution.

This is a useful tool. Here is what I did as a one-man hvacr contractor when lifting furnaces and airhandlers in attics- I purchased perforated metal angle, 3/8" rope, pulleys, shackles, 3/8" hexhead screws, lag screws from home depot. I would cut and attach the perforated metal to the rafters, another to the furnace discharge flange, connect multiple pulleys using small shackles, and serpentine the rope back and forth as a block and tackle. Using this I could get the equipment up into an attic. Maybe this can help someone aswell. Myself I had always wished Dewalt would have had an 18volt battery powered small winch for this type of job.

I’m in escrow now and don’t want to pay the huge cost to move the furnace into the attic. Didn’t care about the sound. You did a great job filming and I will be purchasing one as soon as I get into this house. Thanks so much!!

No sound needed, great job filming. Not only is it way safer than manhandling it up it's less man power.
