A friend of my escaped Eritrea. He hid on the undercarriage of a railcar. One of the people he escaped with was spotted at the border and shot right in front of him. My friend was just a kid at the time so was abled to go unnoticed because of his small body
WOW that's scary
The poor kid at the time of his escape…
@Rick Carter he's doing great. He's 25 and in the 14 years he has lived in Norway he has become fluid in Norwegian. Gotten a engineering degree. and has a wife and a kid on the way. And on a sidenote he is also completely selfless. He will always drop whatever he is doing to help others. He's probably the greatest guy i know

As for the US, the only way it would play out like that is if you are wanted for a crime. Any regular person can go, even renounce their citizenship.
That's right! Fishing without a license, smoking a Cuban cigar, collecting rain water without a permit, putting electric in your basement without a permit, in the middle of an IRS audit, having a beer on the sidewalk, a 20-year-old marine having a beer while on tour in Iraq, bringing an Epipen from Canada. Just saying.
I like how the US is part of this video. It's really not a nice country. Over 300 police videos made it clear in my mind.
And about Belarus, it's actually not that hard to escape. Just go to Lithuania. There was a situation where someone got caught, wasn't arrested and escaped on the 2nd attempt. In North Korea, there wouldn't be a 2nd attempt.
Yeah as long as you're willing to pay an exorbitant fee for renouncing it...
Facts
@@taijisyxom6888 yeah the US may have the most crime but it is a nice country. we have yellowstone and alot of great spots to visit.
Escaping Canada too would be difficult if one commits a horrible crime, because the Canadian authorities works closely with other law enforcement around the world, so if one successfully flees the country, it wouldn’t be long before the one who committed the crime be apprehended by foreign law enforcement, and extradited back to Canada where one will receive a sentence for the crime.
Still if you actually angered the Canadian government, who are nice guys and compartitvely like peace, you deserve staying
I have a friend from Belarus he describes it as a controlling and a manipulative country that's why he moved 1000's of miles away from it but he usually visits it once every few years, but now regarding the current situation in Ukraine it looks like he's gonna have to cancel his plane ticket's!

I lived in Saudi Arabia for three years and the new crown Prince is improving the rights of women. Recently they have been allowed to drive, book plane tickets, sexually segregated rooms and areas have been removed and more. Although it still has some bad laws such as Freedom of Press and Speech being banned to a certain extent, it is improving.
I said the same thing. It’s definitely gotten better. In fact, I recently met a girl who just finished her degree in architectural engineering here in the states and chose to go back to Saudi to work.
Saudi Arabia has been improving a lot in the last few decade.
Yeah sure, soon they'll let women dress however they want and implement LGBT rights

You forgot England and France. They spent centuries invading the globe to escape their homelands, and they're still stuck there. The English must endure the terrible weather, and the french cant escape the french.
Lol I dont mind english weather we get alright summers these days and i dont mind abit of rain, I think people get our weather wrong we dont have tornadoes or many hurricanes we don't suffer from harsh snows and I know this has nothing to do with weather but earthquakes dont floodings dont happen much its quiet an easy place to live
And BC gets even more rain. We have the rainiest place in North America. 23 feet of rain per year. Nothing touches our West Coast for rainfall; it's literally a temperate rain forest. We also have Canada's only desert, but that's a story for another day.

BTW, the electric fence would not even shock the bird due to the lack of ground signal. Technically if you jumped onto the fence without touching the ground you would be fine because the electricity wouldn't try to travel through you, hence no shock

That is a good proposition, it never occurred to me and I would be dead
Transmission wire doesn't give you a shock when you hold wire & not the ground. But if you try to grab another phase wire from transmission system without touching ground, you will get electric shock.
Now this same goes to electric fence, phase wires are relatively close in electric fence system.

Hello
Hey, I know that guy!

But your comments everywhere do..
Just kidding 😁
And you disappoint because of you spamming comments!
The belarus situation is so bad that my aunt, who has a company there, needs to smuggle money past the border to pay the workers in there, because you just can't carry anything past the borders. it's very shady, and they stop literally everyone trying to enter and exit the country.
Dont say that online!
Eritrea does sound worse than north korea. Many people who've visited North korea said most people they see are going about their daily lives. You don't need permits to literally leave yhe house.
Both are bad
When you visit North Korea, they only show you what they want you to see...
If you visit North Korea, what you see are all actors, because you are required to strictly follow the tourist path. Of course they would make it look not bad.
To be fair you can only visit the capital so the rest of the country might be different.
My entire family is from Eritrea and i’ve visited in 2012, it’s really not as bad as the video says. We traveled towns in a bus with almost 20 people. Most of my relatives in the US came from Eritrea
At 8:47
Eritrea:
If you want to leave the country of Eritrea legally, you also have to pay an "exit tax". This is a tax on those people that are trying to voluntarily give up their Eritrean citizenship. I don't know how it works and Eritrea, but there is one other country that does this, that has an exit tax.
The country is United States of America. There if you are trying to legally give up your citizenship and get citizenship in another country, they assume you are trying to evade taxes and will tax you 75% on all property that you own. You have $100,000 house, congratulations you owe $75,000 in taxes payable immediately....
It was an interesting read when I stumbled across the info and read about it on Wikipedia....
Later;
Monte
Thx
wikipedia aint reliable
I’m from Eritrea and a lot of the things said was grossly incorrect some are correct tho
Yep, and the only way to get rid of that exit tax from the US is to renounce your citizenship. I love this country…

I still think that living in North Korea is much worse than living in Belarus
Same
This is the first time I have ever heard anyone use the phrase, "Escape the US."
The only reason you would want to is if you did a very very severe crime cuz other than that you can leave if you wanna and the flaws of the government arnt really suppressive
Any country that you can't just leave must be a terrible place to live.
More Americans need to visit those countries and realize how much freedom they have before complaining
No mention of Cuba.
I forget sometimes how bad things are in other countries. Though I hate the direction we are going things could be much worse. If we keep allowing are rights to be taken we may one day find ourselves in the same position. If you think that it could never happen here you better think again.

Im sure nobody would but im just curious, what if someone just wanted to visit there as a tourist? Would they be able to leave or be stuck there?
Good question
Assuming you mean the DPRK or North Korea, you cant visit if your American and don't have special permission, but if you do visit it has to be under a guided tour, you cant take pictures that have citizens, military, or just anything that puts them in a "bad display", you can leave if you follow the rules but they check your phone and everything else. The first thing to come to mind is North Korea. Escaping from North Korea isn’t easy, but it’s possible; it has been done before. The way to do it is simple. Try to sneak your way across the northern border and into Mongolia through China or into Alaska from Russia. Since the southern border is one of the heavily guarded areas on Earth, it’s a dead end.
What happens if you try escaping North Korea 🇰🇵 through the border with Russia 🇷🇺?
you die because it's only 17 miles wide making it easy to track you and Russia would send you back faster than China
I got a topic which could make for a good vid that has been on my mind for years now.
What if everyone(80%+) decided to revolt against the country by not working anymore? In this scenario, the people don't care about dying for their cause.
That depends. Who is smart and competent enough to be self sufficient?
@@andrewyerian214 I imagine he means every scenario, including the loss of life
I really hope they do this now
I would imagine there would be a lot of variables.
What country?
Are the people armed & willing to fight, or just passively refusing to go to work?
Are the people capable & in an area capable of self-reliance? (Can they grow their own food, maintain shelter, provide their own security).
It could result in anything from the removing of a current government & installation of a new one.
It could result in the collapse of a regional or even global economy.
It could end with a civil war.
A years long stalemate is possible.
We could see a compromise & see some of the demands of the striking workers met in return for them ending the labor strike.
Most likely would end with people slowly going back to normal to avoid starvation.
So many possible outcomes, it just depends on the specifics.

Some can farm( if the gov tries to take their crops they will not surrender them)
Think of China's lying flat movement that's going on but a little more extreme.
