- With the Frozen 2 movie coming out later this week, I decided to cover one of the new songs... so I gave the entire Frozen 2 Soundtrack playlist a listen. The song that stood out to me the most is "Lost in the Woods," sung by Jonathan Groff as the character Kristoff (and also covered by Weezer on the soundtrack). The music and lyrics have a total 80s rock-ballad vibe... so I decided to turn up the 80s-ness even more in my cover. I hope you like it! I think alot of older generation people who saw this movie thought that. I instantly thought of the band Chicago. Turn out, if you look it up, that was 100% what they were going for. Even Groff who was given the music to sing was like.. really? You're going for an 80s Power Ballad? And it totally worked.

I avoided listening to the soundtrack (and this cover) till I saw the movie, so I could experience the songs for the first time in the movie.
Saw it last night and loved it, so now I can listen to this and it's beautiful! Gotta love '80s power ballads. 😃

Good call doing that. The first time I heard ANY of these songs was when I went to the movie and it really blew me away BECAUSE I hadn't heard them first.. particularly this song which had me smiling (a child for the 80s). If this song was released as a single in the 80s... Top of the Billboard Charts for sure.

I hadn't heard this song yet, but it speaks to me so much right now and now I'm listening on repeat. Also I absolutely LOVE 80s ballads. Some parts of this remind me of Peter Cetera's "Glory of Love" and I'm totally digging it. You're amazing, Chase!
Thank you! And YES... "Glory of Love" is exactly what I heard when I listened the first time. To be honest, you could just insert that chorus in place of this one, and it would sound perfectly normal, haha.
