Limited to just 82 instruments, the Rio Dream Bass embodies the personality and stylistic range of Duran Duran’s 1982 platinum-selling record, with some design modifications to really hone in on John Taylor’s bass tone.

Really humble guy too! Met him at the bass show in London a few years ago. He was so surprised that someone recognised him and very grateful that I had seen some of his videos on YT
Sounds fantastic and that's an awesome groove he's playing. I wish we'd have gotten a nice full view of the whole bass though.

Where are you located? John Fox Bass started taking pre-orders several months ago. I'm sure other dealers did too.

@@AgentOrange1988 Yes, I understood that. The 82 Limited Edition ones are starting to ship out this month. The other colors are black, white and green. The black ones will start shipping pretty soon, hopefully within a few weeks. The white and green ones are going to be another 3 or 4 months. It is taking them a while to get the paint colors dialed in correctly on those. Again, John Fox Bass started taking pre-orders several months ago for the black, white and green ones. I assume other dealers did too. There are no other color variants besides those three (other than the Limited Edition ones, which sold out in a few minutes last year.)

"Did you miss it?" What?! There was zero chance anyone not already affiliated was getting one of these. 😆
the production basses are boring and ugly. I'd buy the one that actually looks like something from RIO. But not these.
