      Tysm for everything you're a saint. When I make enough without a doubt id be honored to join your classes. Does thinkorswim charge money for their charts? Do their charts update premarket at 7am and onwards? I know a bit of places dont even update the candle charts until market open

    Ross. I am a member of warrior trading. I bought the complete package for a year. I also am from Western Mass. Just sold my house in Leverett. I wanted to say, this is hands down your best video. This vid answered literally all the questions I have built up. Great video !!
    To anyone reading this, this video is a prime example of how much info Ross gives away, just his free videos can change your life. It changed mine

    29:00..... Ross, I wish there was a way that u could show this type example again, with all those orders pouring in, BUT slowed down about 10 or more times, while you're explaining what we're seeing. It moves so fast that I don't know how a person can utilize the info, in their head, on the fly.
    I try to always set stop loss like yourself. I wish there was a way to see these current, or future limit orders on a chart, so a person could watch how the incoming orders effect the price, the chart, in real time. Instead of switching ones attention back n forth between the chart and price action.
    Certainly not a critique friend. I really do appreciate everything you give in the way of time and knowledge. Much thanks! David in Kentucky

    That's gold, Jerry! Gold! Honestly, as someone new to Level 2 and trying to learn it, I can see this takes a lot of simply watching charts and the L2 to train your eyes to look where they need to be in order to make that best-educated entry into a position. Good stuff. Thanks Ross!

      Glad to hear trading only with 10 shares to start worked for you to gain confidence. This is exactly what I want to do, and now you've inspired me to try it, no matter how small the gain. I think it's all about the "doing", practicing, creating muscle memory while proceeding with caution.

    Could you please elaborate on Level II situations when you see a big ask position being bought up, numbers coming down, but then the stock drops instead of moving up. Seen it so so so many times feeling baffled. TY AGAIN FOR YOUR TIME educating us, the dreamers!

    • @SDM3791
      @SDM3791 4 місяці тому

      The ask is a sell position so it's going to drive a lower price

    • @SDM3791
      @SDM3791 4 місяці тому +2

      If market price is $10 and there's a large volume at $5 on the ask (exaggerated I know) but that weighs the price downward

    • @dannyg6045
      @dannyg6045 4 місяці тому +2

      Maybe a large hidden seller

    • @AnthraxDust
      @AnthraxDust 4 місяці тому +8

      If you see the numbers going down on a big seller (ask), but it doesn’t fully break and the price drops, this is likely because the buyers were not strong enough at that moment to break through, and as people see it’s not breaking some people will take profit as they see the break isn’t going to happen, and people who got in for the break may bail and sell their position. Pay close attention to shifts in buying or selling on the tape at that price level where the big seller is being eaten up to help spot that it may potentially not be breaking (see no more green or very little green on tape, shifts to majority or all red on tape or burst of red on tape)

    I noticed today on lvl 2. Thay when the spread starts getting wider. Example, bids start going lower and ask stays high. Eventually, the price starts to drop. I will be keeping an eye on this for a trend. But i believe it is a pattern to look for the price to start dropping. Sellers hold their positions. But new sellers step in and lower the ask price to accommodate the buyers asking price. Therefore, driving the price to dip.

    When you're trying to show something like the break of 10.29 on ADGI and you go back to see it again, you can actually use the " , " and " . " keys (lower case " " keys) to go frame by frame. Your videos are probably about 30 frames per second. You can also change to .75, .50 and .25 speed by using the same keys upper case "". The ">" key will take you back up. Very handy when you get used to it.

    From an unexperienced trader who's opinion should be taken very lightly, I think level 2 data is one of those things that most of the time won't make a huge difference and might be unusual for some, making it more difficult and maybe less profitable at times; however, level 2 data can help to eliminate that outlier where an unusual order flow wouldn't otherwise be seen through a chart. I keep an eye on it for sure, but my trading strategy is a bit different so I 'm not watching it as closely as Ross does. I think as years go by and my understanding and conceptions of the market become more and more natural, level 2 data will be more useful for filling in information gaps in my mind; at the current moment though, I think it introduces a bit too much noise for me to get a clean signal most of the time (hence why I still keep it up on the side).
    Been loving the videos Ross. Feel like I wouldn't be seeing my profits recently if I wasn't able to learn from you so much.

    One of things I'm frustrated about in a cash-only account is establishing a stop loss on my trades to manage my risk. Typically I set a stop loss around $0.10 to $0.20 / share. There have been several times I try to enter into a stock thinking it will continue upward only to quickly drop down and then come up back to where I was and to find myself stopped out and done for the day (being a cash account). I also tried w/o a stop loss and that ended up creating a bigger loss for me. It would be nice to see how you manage the risk in these small accounts. What amount to do setup for a stop loss? Is there any guidance how much to setup a loss being on the price action of a stock?

    New to the channel. Absolutely loving it so far. Thank you very much for such a detailed breakdown on the variety of topics you cover. Was hoping to get a little advice as your small accounts starting point is my whole starting account. I am usually very conservative and have been making small profits most days but its nothing substantial. I know it will compound but is it worth it in the beginning to go for the whole account looking for a bigger wins until I get to a more substantial starting point? I am not trying to be greedy or too conservative but it seems too slow at only 5-10 bucks a day in my wins. Lately iv only been maxing out at $125/trade. Any advice from anyone would be appreciated.

      I have been told by a mentor that that neutral transaction can be seen as profit taking. It’s only until you see either side of the bid/ask collapse in one direction do you know sentiment in that particular area

      For International traders you have many brokers available, you just need to select what one fits you best based on commission or commission free and the location of the broker if it is an "offshore" broker or a US based broker

      Every platform has it, you have to pay, like $2 a month

      Most to all trading platforms have the level 2 data for a small fee some are free

      For Canadian resident, I think the cheapest option would be to use IBKR U.S Level 2 which will cost around 10 USD per month. Other than that, you can use TradingView level 2 data or Questrade level 2 data for much higher prices. Unfortunately I think Wealthsimple does not offer US level 2 data at this moment.

    One thing that is important to know, those orders on lv2 can be taken away in an instant. That goes for buy and sell orders. So, while lv2 does offer a glimpse into the price action, is just one piece of the puzzle.

    Sometimes you'll see the bid price much higher than the ask. Is this bc they want to push the sellers into a possible squeeze?
