I wish I could go back to 2005 when this was released, playing this and Counter Strike Source, Day of Defeat Source and other games was a core memory of those great days.
@@NorViking94 nothing beats waking up Saturday and Sunday morning with no responsibilities, and a full day of Battlefield 2 to rank up and play with friends on team speak and ventrillo. Heck, even xfire if you are old enough.
Anyone remember the original 1942, I remember all kinds of stuff that was in the game that eventually got patched out. I used to love landing on the enemys spawn and sniping heli pilots just as they were taking off. That and the c4 buggy's.
This game is a diamond that cannot be replaced. I ve never seen any battlefield game allowing such level of sandbox feel which what makes this game one of the most unique ones. Also love ur channel bro ❤
@@mikewilliams1993 nah bf2 gives way more possibilities in terms of game features imo. Youll see what I mean when you compare bf2 with newest bfs such as bf5 , bf1 , bf2042
This was such a good game back in the day. I remember it looking way better than this, but watching it now it looks so old lol. Weird how memories work. Wake Island was my favourite map. Me and the boys would always go on the US team (which almost always got slaughtered on that map) and execute a plan I came up with. We'd all rush for a jet. Whoever got the jet would fly directly to the Chinese airfield flag while the rest of the squad would commit suicide. The guy in the jet would bail out and parachute right on top of the Chinese flag and the whole squad would spawn on him as soon as he landed and gank the Chinese airfield flag 30 seconds after the game started. It worked every single time. They never expected it. And when I had to play on the Chinese side on that map I would always guard the airfield flag because I expected someone to do the same thing... but nobody ever did!
A proper follow up to 2142 would be nice. Hopes were high with 2042 being somewhat of a prequel to what lead to 2142 but we all know how that worked out.

In a world in which we have so many choices, it is amazing that you can hop on an old game like this and be content for hours.

I really wish they would remaster BF2. Keep everything the same, fix the hit registration and accuracy on the weapons and just revamp the graphics.
