In the last 30 years Thomas Nagel has however turned his back on this postmodern worldview. Today he is a pioneer in the *New Realism* movement. New Realism combines ontological realism with moral realism. The late Umberto Eco is another pioneer of New Realism, or as Eco called it - Negative Realism.
