  • How much are we morally responsible for things beyond our control? How much is within our control anyway? How are we to find reason and happiness in a world filled with chance at every twist and turn? Join us as we examine the pecularities in our moral judgements, and discuss their implications for our views of ourselves and others.

I love the psychological damage control at the end there. Unfortunately, I now see people as bundles of luck, flowing in the river of causality. Thanks!

In the last 30 years Thomas Nagel has however turned his back on this postmodern worldview. Today he is a pioneer in the *New Realism* movement. New Realism combines ontological realism with moral realism. The late Umberto Eco is another pioneer of New Realism, or as Eco called it - Negative Realism.
