New Scrumptious Roast Recipe

I love a good roast and I have my tried and true recipes, but I wanted something different today. So, I picked up some yummy mushrooms and went to work. I am so so glad I tried this recipe. My mother in law said this is her favorite roast recipe now. She even had me cook another one the next day for her to put in the freezer for later. If just eating this roast without the mushrooms or not over potatoes/rice, I would reduce the salt. The mushrooms soak up a ton of the flavor and help balance it all out though.
Mushroom Roast Recipe:
4 lb roast
1 medium onion, diced
16-24 oz cleaned mushrooms
1 onion soup packet
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 cup water
1 packet brown gravy mix
