As someone who collects cassette decks, fm radios, boomboxs and old things that make me happy. Keep finding cool things and making cool things with it.
I love that you did this. It's like a grand tour into the deep recesses of your artistic, super-imaginative mind. My room is very similar in the way of creating a positive space by surrounding myself with the things that I love. Thank you for this invitation into your life.
Your room is like a combination of what i would find at my friend's houses in the early aughts, plus the anime and manga that we'd pore over during middle school sleepovers. You're surrounded by happy memories ☀️
I'm impressed you were able to decorate with enough tech and little toys sprinkled around to give it a personal feel, without giving off boring antique store vibes.
It’s likely you’ll never read this, but from the bottom of my heart, thank you, you’ve breathed a breath of fresh air into me and opened up a whole new world of music/sound to me, an audio aesthetic I never knew I needed so badly.
It blows my mind how many things you have that I grew up with and new things that I also have now. The vapor95 mirror, the carousel/merry go round thing (my mom has at hers still), the old Mac, freddie fish/tonka pc games, one of the CRTVs, the aquarium lamp, the taco bell dog plush, the dreamcast, PS1, snes, and a lot of the games you listed, the vox mini amp, an otamatone, the Eva from walle toy, and the casio midi guitar. All of these are either in my house or my mom’s place. I have like those exact branded items or at least similar brands and its freaking me out a lil bit but also making me nostalgic and appreciative for the little stories of the items I’ve collected over the years. I think these lil knickknacks and things went to a GREAT home. Super heartwarming video thanks for posting this!
the way your channel is laid out, and how you present it is 10,000% why i subbed. keep up the great work and unique take on the entire youtube community!! you've earned every. single. sub. period. keep it up! love your style and the old school mic and cams always bring a smile!
Wholesome video, reminds me of show-and-tell as a kid but cooler. Great taste in retro and niche decor, I can't how imagine how many visits it took to thrift/second-hand/antique/pawn stores to cultivate a room like this. Death note poster might be my favorite. Tons of cool + rare instruments. Sounds like you have a great relationship with your sister too! Splendid, hope you have a nice 2024. 😌
So cool! Nicd to get a sneak peak of your life and space! It's like both taking a journey into my childhood as well as stepping into the Antique Shop from Whispers of the Heart!
Hellooo Juliana, I enjoyed watching this room tour as my grand parents had a lot of vintage tech in their house like old decks with old book shelf speakers, cassette camcorders, vinyl players. They also had so many crt's too which I tried to fix and use as a digital fireplace by playing a fire place video loop on them. Anyways not to make this comment too long, your room tour reminded me of my grandparents :D plus as someone who hoards old tech (I even saved my moms first computer which was an old cpu tower with a square viewsonic crt) when I was 3 y/o I used to use the paint app on that thing it had Windows 95. What I'm trying to say is your videos felt like home & reminded me of my childhood. I don't leave comments on youtube videos ever but this video genuinely made me feel so happy and felt so soothing! Thank you for uploading, plus you have an amazing voice, I LOVED THE DUVET COVER!! P.s its funny how I found your channel, one of your cover videos popped up into my recommended, I saw the thumbnail and noticed a crt and a telephone mic. I was intrigued but right when I was about to click on your video my laptop died. A FEW DAYS LATER I randomly thought about your thumbnail and wrote "singing on telephone" into the search bar and volla I found your channel. I very much appreciate the song covers, but this video just felt so nostalgic. subbed for sure! ~Naiyl
Thank you so much! My parents kept some stuff like handycams, games/ consoles and we still have a huge bin of vhs movies my siblings and I grew up watching which I want to share soon. It’s great to know others find joy in all the old stuff too because I know to some it’s just “junk” in their eyes but I feel like it’s getting harder and harder to find these things now that people have many nostalgic memories connected to with all the new cheap mass produced things that are constantly coming out. I wonder what thrift stores will be like in 30 years- shein, random things from temu, and used vr headsets lol
alot of things you have in this video reminds me of my childhood .. aewsome! i still have toys and rc cars from the 90s .. certain Items hold so many memories and energys
So I wanted to comment on your 'little pain' short cover but YT didn't let me due to its length, so I will do it here. You're painting with your voice. I am in ablosute awe. I see big, green and open landscapes when I hear you. You have an incredible control over your voice. I have a feeling you're aware of every little vibrato and register change that you make. And by making them, you make me feel things. Amazing, amazing, amazing. Keep going girl!
you got alot of dope stuff that I use to fantasize having when I was a kid which I couldn't afford, now as an adult I still fantasize about having them now that I can afford them, but have no room for them (as I like to live a minimalist/spartan lifestyle).
it's like she keeps dark voodoo magic, spells and runes in her room, awesome. she skipped the goat skull though, probably a sacrifice to the Old gods and kept it as a totem.
Love that you have a Power Macintosh in there! I saw Freddy Fish too, great choice! I'd like to see a video of some old Mac stuff you have too, and maybe you can share what issues you've had with it and people could help too.
Hey nice video! I'm super curious of how do you film your videos, like do you use an old camcorder or make something in the editing? greatings from brazil!
If you havent yet, you should try opening up your old macintosh. The one you have is known to have a small battery on the motherboard which will start leaking after years of use, which will destroy the whole system! I recommend checking it out. Great video!
i started to from a few suggestions from r/vintageapple but the plastic started chipping really bad and i couldn’t get the motherboard out :( It looked in tact but i’m waiting until i can find someone in LA who can fix it
Seeing all these absolutely beautiful things makes me very happy. Although it also reminds me I've always been jealous I didn't grow up/live in America. Missing out on so many cool things! Hot topic, nickelodeon slime shows, beautiful boardwalks, Warped Tour (not to mention all the artists and concerts), corndogs, Disney parks, the restaurants, big homes with pools and garages, 60Hz, garbage disposals in sinks, ehh.. I can go on and on 😅 Don't get me wrong.. I'm certainly not ungrateful and I'm happy to have grown up in a safe country. But you get what I mean...

Man, it seems like the younger gen REALLY likes the 90's/early 00's. I loved it. Barely on the cusp of a giant technological boom, this new "internet" thing that started spreading like wildfire. That aquarium lamp unlocked a core memory for me my grandma gifted me one when she visited me when I was a little lad 😭
I'm impressed you were able to decorate with enough tech and little toys sprinkled around to give it a personal feel, without giving off boring antique store vibes.

I would pay a pretty penny for your entire retro game collection. Looks like you kept it in immaculate condition
Your room is beautiful because you are in it
I like it. It's a nice change of pace from RGB lights and a giant tapestry of McLovin's fake ID on the wall.
