You can major in electrical engineering technology. In fact, Old Dominion University and Indiana State University offers online degree in electrical engineering technology.
Thank you for the video. There is so much confusion about the engineering technology (ET) discipline, especially when it comes to the career that a four-year ET program prepares someone for. I have been teaching ET for 16 years and I have had 0 students to get a job in industry as a technologist. To guess, I would say 95% of my graduates are engineers right out of college. Also, half of the states in the US allow ET graduates to take the PE just like graduates of theoretical engineering degrees. There has been a push recently to change the names of four-year ET programs to Applied Engineering, which is a better name for the discipline.
If you get a degree in engineering technology as long as it is accredited by ABET whether it is EAC or ETAC, you will still be considered an engineer. In the past most students who majored in engineering technology could not get a graduate degree. Currently, colleges offer masters degrees in engineering technology as well as engineering. I am glad that there hasn't been a change to applied engineering because the accreditation my change from ETAC of ABET to ATMAE.
Technical engineering is an applied engineer which we would call an engineering technologist. A Scientific engineering relies on theory which they are call engineers.
A gem!!!!!💎 thank you
This video is perfect! It’s just what I needed between deciding to be an EE or ET.

this is exactly what i wanted
Thank you for stopping by my channel.
Great info and details. My boss has a civil ET degree and is PE licensed. They title him an engineer instead of technologist though.
The only difference is that engineering is theoretical, while engineering technology is applied engineering principles.
Thank you for this information!

Great information 👍
Thank you for your comment.
Very thorough
Thanks for stopping by my channel
Jordan Peterson talked about engineering 😎
Thank you for sharing that information.
Is a technical engineer better than a scientific engineer?
Applied Engineer is Engineering Technologists
Engineering Technologists (Applied Engineering graduates) May progress as Professional Engineer Applied (P.E.A)
@syeddanishraza903 thank you very much
