- I think the Fixfoam was nerfed, and now only has a 10m radius instead the hull it's in. If you add a light and a signal check, then you can wire up a lamp to check which fixfoam was fired.- - A good thing for the reactor is to add a wifi signal and link it to the radio, so you get the current fuel level in chat when it's below 5% even when outside the sub on eva mission. Add a signal check, wire the fuel % to the set output, and the signal in to the regex out signal out. Don't need an engineer after that (maybe for the pucs talent). Good video. - One thing I noticed, that some new players are not aware of puting crates in the deconstructor lower row puts the resources in that. - Safety harness is good for a husk crew, because it negates the water pushing effect, so the crew can just walk around. Good for captain and gunners as well. I edited the fixfoam part, it is 10m not 5m as I thought.
Safety harness is i feel even more underrated than bandolier at least in single player. I fell in love with it on vanilla and when i found mod that lets me put it in toolbelt slot i instantly fell in love with that mod too
One more cheating tip I forgot to add is: place a motion sensor on the nose of your sub, set the x and y sensor values to 1000, the x offset 1000, y offset to -1000, detect monsters and humans only and ignore dead. Output 1, false 0. Wire a light or an alarm in your command room to its signal out, and you get a free enemy detector that you can scan wrecks and becon stations for enemies with. Though wrecks might not spawn all the enemies, until a player character has swam out in its hull range.
-Leads are now very common after the Galena spawn rate increase and more available in outpost, if you wish to go further, use mechanic talent to deconstruct them. Regardless you'll need magnesium for guns, which is less common but appear in most outpost, Titanium also becomes abundant mid-late game so chaingun won't be a problem later. Assault Rifle and especially HMG are extremely cost efficient compared to other guns. Looting wreck and enemy sub can help with railgun ammo but especially coilgun ammo -Phosphorus won't explode underwater anymore (while you didn't mention it, you did show a footage of a person avoiding water with phosphorus) -Flare/Glowstick/Alien Flare got severely nerfed effect their durations and can now take damage from creature attacks and explosions (which make their duration drop even faster). I'll remember their glorious days. Alien Flare can be deconstructed for Flash powder, either for magnesium or to convert 2 Alien Flares into 12 Flares. Moloch ignore these Flare/Glowstick, because they use sound and can't see, obviously. Some creatures may prioritize attackers over flare/glowstick, such as Spineling and Bonethresher(Big one) Mudraptor in swarm prefer spreading into attack multiple targets, thus flare/glowstick become less effective. -Boarding Axe is good at breaking wreck door and hull, Crowbar also decently good at breaking hull. -Plasma Cutter using oxygen is not really a downside, since it also an extra slot for oxygen tank. -Hunting Ground mission prevent Abyss Creature from respawn, loot all the abyss ores all you want, all Physicorium, Fulgurium, Incendium Crystal, and Dementonite Clusters are your.
yea I finished this guide just as the new nerfs to flares came in, still a good option in groups, but as a solo it's definitely better now to have a weapon drawn instead. I hope they get modified soon to be more effective again.
Sadly, but if it comes to playing with random players it seems auto-repair hull system is actually great possibility to grief the round. Not every griefer is smart enough but some of them actually know how to use detonators and if they have possibility they buying it and grenades, then they make door traps especially in reactor room. So just imagine this.. You casually playing and suddenly your entire ship is blown up and with that system nobody will survive.
@@IronicandDead Thx for inviting, but i don't really play this often. Don't get me wrong, sometimes it's even interesting and intriguing when you trying to catch these guys, but.. Also i can't deny that's pretty much exhausting and annoying, at least when you have no rights to do something with them. But still, thank you.
@@IronicandDead Oh by the way maybe it's may be a bit of trick, but if monsters trying breach through the door. I know it's not very useful but ppl can repair them while monsters trying to breach in. @@anarchosnowflakist786 super late but vending machines have a premium price, its best to just buy from merchants if you need batteries. it's still useful though if you need to buy a ton of opium lol. merchants will always have al imit of how much they sell but vending machines are all independent. you can clear out like 40 opium from a city a lot of times for a pretty low price. money should never be a problem in this game anyway. another pretty good piece of advice if you read this, is handheld monitors are the best to search wrecks and ruins. for the wreck missions you need that logbook, you can just search it and boom its there. but you can also see exactly what every item is on the wreck if you just type in "a" for example and backspace. it shows every item that is present in that location, all you need to do is scroll and click what you have interest in. if it doesn't blip, then you still gotta find it on a body. it also shows items that are on your person so beware of that too.
Pro tip: If you do a wrack mission, just drop a dephcharge with c4 or compound N on it (kastrull wrecks o.e need at least 2 or a nuke). In this way you invide the hostals on the sub to play, thalamus is simply gone and you already have a big entry for the diving team.
Player made subs tend to have poor npc pathing. Set npcs tasks and be sure you have all the tasks covered. They only do what you tell them. Npcs will waste a lot of ammo. Switch to the npc gunner when dealing with the clean up of crawlers. Npcs will just unload on corpses
Let's say that my sub sank past it's crush depth but all my crew is safe wearing abyssal diving suits. Would it be possible to fix the sub somehow and get back up ? or would I have to abandon ship ? Hypothetically of course.
if your on a small ship and have 10 crew that are spread out across the ship with lots of welding fule and masterwork welders and additional portable pumps, it is possible, but the chances of all of that working together are very very slim. most of the time that's a restart.
Ok this is gonna be a dumb question, but is there any way to leave your sub in case is by all means completly doomed? Like trying to swim for it or anything.
You can, if you make it to the outpost you can select to complete the mission, but a) its a long swim and b) a swarm could take you down very quickly, so make sure lots of supplies, ammo and people if you want to pull it off.
There are no official servers, they are all managed by people, its not an open world persistent environment. You have campaigns that are a save file that sits on the server and is loaded up when the server host starts. You can host your own campaign and then your save files lives with you and won't reset.
If you have an unreliable engineer, you can wire the meltdown to shutoff with a delay component and forget about it Meltdown>delay in>delay out> shutdown Delay is needed because if you use a relay it’ll shut up when you try to start the reactor at all

its crazy how many people dont know about the repair "minigame" lol

It just felt like common sense to me I figured it out on the first thing I repaired

I personally prefer to use plasma cutters on wrecks as it gives me that extra distance away from the door incase there is anything behind it
Put a diving suit nearby whenever you're using a bandolier :P

lithium can be gotten from the vending machines by deconstructing battery cells in exchange for money in each outpost.

in the submarine editor can you use the sub you made in solo?
Did not occure to me, I could use those devices in alien ruins.... does Item finder find artefact a well?
