As a Browns fan of 50 plus years I would hate to see him go but he (Garrett) deserves to get a championship, he's earned it
Yeah but my question is is what would you take for him? Would you take a one and a two? It would be a late late draft pick
It'd be entirely dependent on how many years is he on contract and will the Brown's keeping any of his salary on their books. So, on so forth.
@patrickschmitt5717
Why are you asking a fan? They are going to overvalue players on their favorite team.
The question is what would the browns want. And everybody knows the value starts at a first when talking about a pro bowl edge.
Montez Sweat was a high 2nd. You can guess that’s the value. MG is, imho, a step up from Hutchinson and would let the team ease him in on the right in a year.
Would absolutely be worth a first. Maybe 2
@@PythonKnight It's through 2026, where he'd be 32 at the end of that season, but the Lions have the cap room. If I'm the Browns, I'd still require two firsts because the Lions' firsts are going to be high 20s maybe low 30s. Holmes is going to have to take a chance on someone that can elevate their own game.
@@patrickschmitt5717but Browns could package the picks they get for Myles along with their own 1st and move to the top 3 overall and get a QB
From a Vikings fan, great win lions you look awesome and I hope Hutchinson can heal well mentally and physically 💪
Vikings are legit. I would call them my odds on favorite to win the NFC at the half way point.
@@thomaswatkins3686 F'IN SKOL BABY!!!
As a Lions fan, respect. But man did not know we were going to have to worry about the Vikings this year. Scary good.
@@keetmadu1054 of course bro. Important to think of others more important than yourself. The worlds not about me lol
Yes, that was hard to watch. And so was the injury.
Believe me the Detroit Lions know how important this window is we've never had an awesome offense like this
Yeah asa Vikings fan I’d like to say lions look awesome! Hope season goes well for lions and Hutchinson is ok physically and mentally 💪
@@Izthefaithfulgoing to be a long time before he an walk on that foot again
@@DasInf13 yeah unfortunately. I think he’s not playing minimum until 2026. That was horrible
@@IzthefaithfulDid you even look at the recovery time for athletes after this kind of injury? The worst case is 10 months. He'll be back for next season.
@@usnairframer oh I’m sorry it just looked gruesome that’s all hope for quick recovery
The defense played great when Hutch left, yes it’s a big hole but they have the payers to move forward. Plus, when your offense is that good they’ll be just fine
We need to add another body. Hutchinson gets chipped by the TE, the RB and then finally hits the tackle. He’s too impactful and we don’t have the depth at edge to pick up his slack. We ain’t putting up 40 every week
Don’t be dumb that was for 5 minutes not an entire season.
the rest of the lions defensive line combined sacks doesn't equal Hutchs's numbers.
Crosby should be #1 on the wishlist
Multiple first rounders is terrifying. Would be an unprecedented move by this lions regime as well they value their draft picks.
Delusional
He's top 4 or 5 targets, but the Raiders wanting too high of a price drops his stock. Garrett & Haason Reddick would be my 1a & 1b
@@outdoortherapy6332 Plus they have picked so well the last three years...
@@nolongerblocked6210 no way we get Crosby, he’ll cost too much trade value speaking.
Crosby/Garret would be worth the picks for this season and next year.
Can you imagine the CHAOS & DESTRUCTION either of them would cause with Hutch next year!?!
The Lions would potentially have THE BEST OFFENSE & DEFENSE next year with that move!
No. You’re playing Madden.
The benefit to either is it would allow the Lions to evaluate Hutchinson on the right side, where his duties are minimized. He would not be asked to rush on every down and instead set the edge. It gives him a season to red shirt and get back up to speed after a 6-8 month layoff (which you should prepare for).
The better option is MG in that he’s got an out on his contract. It allows the Lions the chance to see if Hutchinson ends up Chase Young where he loses a step.
This idea the team is going to get one of these guys and pat both 200M is just not realistic. The most you’ll have is a half season with both with full health.
Not sure the team will give up 2 firsts for that.
Agree 💯 Lions can't stand pat need to.make a move
The Cowboys and Jones are the same as the raiders and Davis. Neither will win until both give up control.
Comped on my tib fib x-ray today in honor of Hutch. Lady was doing well a week out of surgery. Prayers for both.
The Lions aren't making a trade for a massive contract like Miles or Maxx that will handcuff their ability to extend Hutch and Alim and their other homegrown stars.
Depends on how you write the contract.
also if your going to give 2 firsts you can probably get the team to eat some of that contract?
...and to play for an actual winning team these players might be open to restructuring to a more friendly contract
You’re probably right. With the caveat being-how injured is Hutchinson.
He was a spotty player until this latest stretch. He’s been that way going back to U or M. The fear is he will suffer the same fate as Chase Young where he’s not the same after.
Frankly, right now, the smart move would be a trade for a LDE and then relegating Hutchinson to the right until he’s back up to speed. At that point, you extend him.
Perfect world, won’t happen, but it wouldn’t be a bad move.
@@thomaswatkins3686 He was a "spotty player" until this last stretch??? Apparently you haven't been watching the games. Nobody else on that line did anything before him and the pass rushers are mostly absent WITH him. He was on track for DPOY honors and pro bowl.
Plus he broke his tibia. Not an injury that will affect his speed and one that will heal well compared to a joint.
He isn't Chase Young. What you just put out there is categorically ridiculous. He will be doing rehab starting in a week but won't be back this year. Relegating him to the right until he's back up to speed? Where does your logic come from? Thankfully you'll be no where near the front office making these decisions.
Max Crosby would be the Best fit for the Lions.
Except he says he has zero desire to leave the Raiders
@@freeclimb5487 I don't know about that he's a winner, to get a chance to go to a contender ? lets be real why waste your talent on a team that's in a constant rebuild.
@@sportsbettingpicks3331I would love to get him in a Lion uniform. I think one good conversation with Dan the Man is all it might take. Not sure if that could happen? He acts like he’s dedicated to the Raider nation but I think he’s bluffing. Time will tell?
Actually he wouldn't him an hutch play the same position
@@Jay-yf8sy It's simple Jay, when a better opportunity comes your way be it business ,sales whatever when a better opportunity comes your way once in a life time you should look at the Big picture and M. Crosby is NOT going to a S.B with the Raiders.
As a Lions fan, it was mixed emotions. Yeah, loved that they put an ass-whoopin on the gowgirls, but damn, losing Hutch was a deflater. Hutch and Sewell are heartbeat of the team so that's a gigantic loss. Dammit!
Thanks for the video. 👍🏻❤️🦁🏈
Call the Cowboys and check on Micha’s availability, they aren’t going anywhere 😂
He is addicted to the publicity of the Cowboys because that’s what leads to revenue for the team. He wants the team to be relevant with Super Bowls being optional. It’s about what keeps the team the most valuable franchise is sports.
The big story should be The Brand New Lions! As a Michigander, I’ve rooted for the same ol lions with my pops my whole life! His whole life! We had one good team with Barry Sanders! Other than that, Megatron and Stafford. The lions have never been better than they are now! That should be the story!
WRONG!!! Holmes and Campbell are NOT building something to win a SB and then call it a day. Lions are gonna be relevant for the next 5 years. Easily.
The Lions will be relevant the next 5 years with or without a couple high picks!
Crosby/Garret with Hutch next year would be REDICULOUS 💯
@LionsOnTheHunt313 Granted. My point is in disagreement with these guys premise that this year is the Lions only opportunity for a SB so THAT'S their reasoning for a trade right now. imo
Bob . Don’t waste your breath. He doesn’t even know how to spell ridiculous. He is playing madden here.
They aren’t going to get two left edge rushers and stack them one on the other. They’ll need to move Hutchinson to the right where his role will change.
I wouldn’t mind it, but the idea they’re both going to be crashing the QB on every down is what’s “reduclcous”
@@thomaswatkins3686 What's RIDICULOUS Tommie is you misrepresenting my comment by thinking I said to trade for both Crosby & Garret when it was clearly one or the other LoL
Sorry my misspelling threw you off so much LoL
Stop trollin my guy, you're not good at it 💯
I would take this more seriously if Dan Patrick wasn't mixing up the Browns and the Bengals. He's pretty much checked-out but enjoying a nice semi-retirement gig in front of the mic.
Lions would never let Watson in their locker room. You don't get Holmes, Ford, Spielman, and Campbell if you think that could happen.
I agree, all ESPN talks about is the cowboys, for at least half the time there on the air. Tired of hearing it..
Yeah Dan and that's why you're not a GM and never will be. Lions aren't going to do any splash trades. Plus Brown's not giving him up, do you watch football?
People said the window closed last year so I am taking these opinions with a grain of salt.
If you think Detriot would have a player not go to practices and show up on Sunday and play, you know nothing about Lion culture.
Longshot of longshots, but us Lions fans can dream. If you go all in on something your going all in this year then really all in next year (as long as it's not a 1 year rental) they would have Hutch and Garrett on the corners. Now I'm really dreaming. But seriously, get a decent edge and see where it goes this year then you pair Hutch w someone next season. Detroit can do it financially, they've signed their staples and they could live with no top picks in next year's draft due to how well they have drafted and what they have now.
Give Aaron Donald a call? Why not?
he isnt an edge rusher.
@@lennyj2080 The currently retired T.J. Watt is, though.
Even if Donald was an edge and wanted to come back the Rams still own his rights
@@thomaswatkins3686 come on details...details.
Jerry Jones is Mr. Burns. Simple
Browns, not Bengals have Garrett and Watson.
Dan is right. Gotta go for it
Dan Patrick is delirious. The Lions would never take Deshawn Watson and his $240mil contract in order to get Miles Garrett. No nitwitted GM would ever think about doing that kind of deal.
Agreed, especially since they have a serviceable QB already.
Duh?? I don't believe he was serious about that at all just trying to be funny.
I'd rather lose every game than have Watson 🤣
The Lions take DW and his contract? Not a chance! We have our QB now and the QB of the future.
Would be a good move for the Lions to pull off.
Crosby for 2 firsts isn't that bad when you realize the lions draft pick the next two years is going to be, most likely 20 +.Is Crosby, a top ten edge rusher better then 2 late 1st round draft pick when the lions are a hair away from a superbowl appearance...I defiantly think he is.
....and when Hutch comes back like the big dog we all know he is, having Crosby on the other side would be terrifying for opposing offenses.
@davidcook9852
The right edge here doesn’t crash the QB on every down. The value here is STILL
1. If Hutchinson needed extended time to recover, Crosby can be your LDE.
2. You can allow Hutchinson to get his sea legs back on the right before you move him back to his natural position
But this pipe dream BOTH are going to be chasing the QB on a down by down basis is something only uneducated fans think will happen.
The only time Dan talks Lions is when he has an angle to shit on them. He was literally saying "is this team 'real'" in december of last year.
Detroit should pull the same deal the rams gave them. Send a decent defensive player and the next three first round picks.
If you're thinking the Lions should trade for Miles Garrett, you MUST be a Cleveland Browns fan.
The Lions are trying to be a dynasty not sell out for maybe one Super Bowl
Lions trading for Garret but having to take Watson would be hilarious. Cause the lions would sign the deal, and before the ink was dry the Lions would kick Watson out the door.
Lions would never consider Deshaun Watson. Holmes and Campbell only consider a player if they have ZERO baggage and have great morals. They will pass up a bit of speed or strength to get a quality no baggage team player.
No Lions will last as Holmes and Camp are grt personnel guys.
Where’s Shea?😂
There's a video under this one in my feed that says Shea calls in.
It seems like the saying every victory comes with a heavy price....
I actually thought about this yesterday...could the BROWNS ..TRADE M.GARRETT...I think it would have to be a GREAT RETURN...or Browns fans would RIOT...can't be a 1st & a 3rd...
Max Crosby
Aerial Rogers needs to just shut it down and walk away already.
No trade is worth taking Watson
bring maxx crosby home
forget it
Where's Ja!?
6:20 not if you are a RAMS fan. Lol
@ 5:24 as you enable and support it. 🙄
Great offense who? The cowboys 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's cliche, but the NFL is a battle of attrition. Especially with the big uglies. Nearly every team gets ravaged with injuries at some point. If it was a skill player, maybe. Selling off draft capital this early feels desperate.
Get Reddick from bears
I think (hope) he was being sarcastic.
No!! Not a cultural fit. Good player, bad fit.
Do you think the Bears are at all interested in doing anything that would make the Division rival Detroit Lions a better team?
Someone nobody is mentioning and has ties with Lions coaches is Cam Jordan from the Saints. Yes, he’s older but can give the Lions those 8+ sacks they’d be missing from Hutch if he’s on the right team, and could be very productive. He’s also cheap, he’s a leader, and knows the type of defense Aaron Glenn is running.
Reddick?
Dan - you've lost it. Take Deshawn Watson?
Max Crosby?????????
Also all this talk about its a one off for the year of making a run to a SB? That is not right or rather correct. To me its a cultural thing. What? Is Kansas City the only team that can consistently make runs to multiple SB's? No this isnt the only year and if they make and win a SB I'd guarantee you they'd be back for another one.
The Lions mindset is to constantly effect continual player & team improvement.
Day after day.
Game after game.
Season after season.
Go pull Aaron Donald out of retirement lol
Stop saying Bengals when you mean browns
JJ Watt?
retired. Do you mean TJ Watt?
@@The-Card-Shark bring him in for 1 year. JJ would look awesome in Honolulu Blue.
Trade away your future for this year😂. Then you end up with Goff vs mahomes😂. Just stand pat.
Goff 2 wins…. Mahomes Zero😂
Give the raiders 2 1st round picks for mad max crosby
not worth it. nothing is worth getting rid of maxx, never gonna happen
Hahaha. All this talk about the mighty Lions and how amazing they are, and how they don't get enough respect, blah, blah, blah. They've never won sh*t, and they'll soon revert back to double digit losses every year. And if the loss of one edge rusher ruins your chances? Not much of a team. The Lions and the Cowboys are the same sorta team.
Comment makes absolutely no sense
