    Its been years since i went to a drive in. As a child i lived up north and i remember the northern lights goin on above the movie screen and i spent the whole time watching them instead of the movie. Such a great memory. These pockets are so great. Thank you for sharing.

    We in the Arctic north of England haven’t been so lucky with weather, it’s been much better down your way. We are having a week in Shropshire at the very end of the month if we aren’t in lockdown again!! I used to get migraines really badly, I used to throw up violently for hours and the only remedy was bed in a dark room and wait to fall asleep somehow. I didn’t get the eye thing thank goodness. I don’t know why they stopped but I’m so grateful they did. No need to reply to my comments. I just feel lucky to have found this during lockdown and your voice has been cheerful and enthusiastic throughout.

      Oh Sara, I hope you get nice weather if you get to Shropshire at the end of the month. Oh migraines are just awful aren’t they? Yes the only thing you can do is lay in a darkened room, glad they have stopped for you now x

    I live in Lancaster OH a smallish town of 25,000 & we still have our drive-in. People come from miles around to watch movies here. I grew on a farm out in the country in a large family & the drive-in at the edge of town was our entertainment. The thing we all miss the most are the roller skating rinks. These are quite lovely pockets & I made 6 along with you! I'm so proud!

      Oh how awesome, I can see why people would drive from all around to visit your drive in, they are such fun. We’ve never had a roller skating rink either, not that I can skate. I am thrilled that you made some of these along with me, and 6 is great x

    We still have a Drive-In here in northern West Virginia, USA and it’s only about 20 min. from our home. They have been playing family movies, Disney movies, and teen musicals, and adventure movies. I love it. Sitting outside under the stars in the fresh air and in comfy clothes, reciting all the lines and singing along with the songs. Best family memories❤️

    Hi Tina, I was sorry to hear about your migraine. I used to get them a lot. The way they affected me was I'd see flashing floating lights in front, my vision would go slightly and I'd be violently sick. I would have to lie in a darkened room and it would take a couple of days for me to feel completely well. Then one day when I thought I was in for a very bad migraine and my vision was deteriorating my son took me to the Hospital. It turned out not to be a migraine but Glaucoma and was told if I hadn't gone in when I did I would have been totally blind. That was about fifteen years ago. As always Tina you have lovely ideas. Your a very talented lady. Thank you for sharing. I'll definitely be doing some of these.

    That blue lace is beautiful! I love vintage, but that touch of color just adds so much to the piece. These look fun and easy to make. Thanks for the tutorial and inspiration. Good luck with your little prankster!! My son used to go around setting "booby traps" in the yard. He would hide small holes with leaves and branches and hope to catch unsuspecting victims. Lol

    Love the mass making videos. I am finally to the point where mass making pockets and such would really speed things up when making a journal. Great video, Tina. Thank you so much. Oh those migraines are awful. I get two kinds, the usual and what is called a vestibular migraine. Both are terrible, but the vestibular can take me down for days with nausea, ddizziness and incredible on-going pain. For the regular migraines, I have a migraine pill that works great and can usually be back to doing things by the end of the day. Had to laugh at the prank your daughter played, awe I miss my kids being little. Kids are sure cute with their ideas, but it only lasts until they get pranked back. . Blessings, Angela

    I love these flippy/fold-out thingys. They really are very versatile, as you said.
    Your migraines sound almost exactly like mine. I get the flashing, spinning light bands and move across my vision and make it impossible to see correctly. I have been getting them since I was 16 and the first time, I really thought I was going blind because I didn't know anything about migraines. Yes, they are debilitating. I get very dizzy and nauseous with mine, too.
    Take care of yourself, Tina.

    I love these but I had a hard time getting them cut right, a bit frustrating for me. Yours came out really pretty! I suffer with horrible migraines about 5 or more times a month and have since I was about 10 years old. I get the lights in my eye and eventually can’t really see… ugh! You were smart to lay down and sleep. You are blessed you don’t get them much anymore. Glad it went away and you are better. Love the mass make for today, thanks for sharing! 😊🌸😊

    • @shabbydabbydoodah
      @shabbydabbydoodah  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, they can be a bit fiddly to cut. Oh you poor thing suffering so regularly with migraines, and from such a young age too. They are just awful aren’t they? Yes the aura thing in your eye completely blocks your vision, it’s horrible. I think laying in a darkened room is the only thing you can do when they come on.x

    Good Afternoon, Tina - I am so happy to FINALLY be able to comment on your videos again. I'm posting this comment to help any of your subbies with the same UA-cam technical problem I have been suffering. Several weeks ago the Comments Section of your videos, as well as every other UA-cam Channel I subscribe to, simply disappeared. I searched everywhere on the Internet to try to find out how to get the Comments Section back. I was VERY FRUSTRATED! This afternoon I finally prevailed and once again am able to comment. I changed browsers ... I am a MacBook Pro user and Safari was the browser I was using. This afternoon I wondered if I switched my browser to Google Chrome, if that would help,. Voila!!! The Comment Section reappeared! I have no idea if this is something new Google is trying to force on users, but at least, for me, it solved my problem, and I am praying it is solved for good. I understand from the Internet the missing Comment Sections is a HUGE problem with numerous users. I hope this information saves a fellow crafter from the angst I had experienced for the past two weeks. Thanks so much, Karen

    If it gets too hot put a bowl in front of your portable fan that is full of ice and let the fan flow over the ice. It will cool you off. You need a decent size bowl and put a towel under the bowl as it will sweat as it melts. However if you can’t stand the heat it is a method used a lot.

    So sorry you suffer from migraines. The vision thing that can preceed a migraine is called an aura. As you say, they sometimes happen 15 to 20 minutes before the main event. Auras don't cause anything. They just tell you one is coming. If you start having lots of migraines again, suggest you start keeping a log of what, where, when and see if you can identify possible triggers (like flashing lights or glare or bright sun or blue cheese or red wine . . . there are lots of things that can b we triggers and they vary between people). Your doctor will want to know about all that. Doctor may be able to help with medicine to prevent them or pain meds that do more than aspirin. Sorry to say, you've got lots of company. Take good care.
