Actually I would say the first 2 shows in Jan. were not that great. Having at least some both in-ear- and other audio problems didn't help I'm certain. But they are back on track now.
One thing Babymetal will always get right are their live shows. From start to end, the girls give it their all whether it's a big or small show. They will be counted among the few artists who are good in studio but even better live.
Saw them in Phoenix this week, and we're considered a "B" show, meaning that they the bigger set and production stuff isn't all there (it was on its way to LA for the next 2 nights). They still tore the house down and gave it 110% percent, and it just made me respect them so much. Babymetal isn't willing or capable of giving a bad performance that doesn't make the crowd happy, and I love them for it. It was the most expe4nsive concert I've ever gotten a ticket for, and I've been to literally probably 1000+ sets/shows, maybe more, and it was worth every penny.
I've been watching their newer shows like...a lot, and I'm starting to think that Su-Metal is one of the best vocalists in metal music. They're all good, but Su has been fucking destroying these sizes with flawless confidence since she was 15. If you watch the Sonisphere show from 2014, she's 15 and singing to 65000 people. But it's the Kami band that's nervous, and flubs a lot of stuff at the start. Su is the metal goddess we got, but honestly probably didn't deserve. She's just unreal.
You can tell how rightfully pride of herself SU is with this song. And it's the most challenging one for her, she's at 100% most of the time and the choreography is not a relaxed one either. 🤘🦊⚡️
@@keyboardsmash1231From the newest album I wouldn't be surprised if DA was the most challenging for her. We've seen the crazy improvement she had singing it while on tour with Sabaton, and later in their own tour in Asia. I think Mirror Mirror's chorus is up there as well.
@i.shuuya3231 I agree.whe I heard the songs from the new album for the first time the first thing I thought was "megitsune is going to be nothing compared to this" especially for divine attack, mirror mirror, maya, metal kingdom and the legend. But compared to those songs, su is able to sing them more or less flawlessly, while on megitsune you could hear how, through the tour, as she got more and more tired every concert, you could hear how much she was struggling with megitsune.

Su's powerful voice and Momoko and Moa's choreo is just so beautiful, this is definitely not an easy song to perform but they did it and so incrediblde. They always give their all no matter what if it's a big show or a smaller one they always give their all, I wish I could see them live tommorow but unfortunately I can not..
They're just so fucking good, I don't know how else to put it. It gets better and better every time, and I hope I live long enough to have them be the last show I see on this giant space rock.
Su-Metal wrote the lyrics for this ambitious song. I find it moving. I love the transitions between the rising, emotional refrain and the sections of heavy metal shredding. So technically demanding of everyone. What other band is writing music like this today and performing it live! Legendary.
There something different about Momo in these two concerts. I don't know if it's a new level of confidence now that's she's officially a member of the group, but she's upped her stage presence and I'm here for it.

they really are Queens. i really dont know what it is about these 3 young women but they just capture you in a way that is very....strange to try and explain. this coming from a fifty year old rock fan that has seen many goddesses of rock over the years. the energy they have seems to be limitless lol maybe its the vocals in a none English language that makes them feel, sound more mystical. or the harmonies and the way they have mixed metal and...is it K pop? or J pop, something like that, forgive me for not quite knowing...im Gen X after all! But i will say that the more i listen to Sumetal sing over the past year, and looking back over her growth as a vocalist she has got such power and control in her vocal range. the whole concept of the band is awesome, i just wish the musicians got put more into the spotlight as a whole, not just the girls. somehow that just makes me think they are replaceable in a "concept" which is a shame.
