Tripoli is an ancient city on the Mediterranean coast of Lebanon, 85 kilometers north of Beirut. This video is too short, I really want to watch more. You would have one of the best drone shots ever. The don Rob made me laugh when he said he is Lebanese. The Tall alolya Cafe is very old. Many of the best minds in Tripoli used to hand out there. I went there about 5 years ago. Bit prejudiced (not sure they're used to seeing black people) but it was still interesting to see nonetheless. Probably the most unique place in Lebanon.
Dude, you haven't seen anything in Tripoli: 1st of all this is not the oldest Kaak in the world, the oldest one is located in the old souk it is built more than 700 years ago let me tell you what you have missed: 1- the castle of Tripoli (the biggest in Lebanon) built by the Crusaders in 1100's 2- the Great al Mansouri Mosque (the biggest Mamluk Mosque in Lebanon) built in 1296 3- St Georges Orthodox cathedral (the biggest Cathedral in North Lebanon) built in 1600's 4- Khan Saboun (Soap Caravanserai) 5-- Khan Khayyatin (Tailors caravanserai) 6- Khan of the egyptions 7- Our lady of Younes (the smallest church in the world) built in 1317 it has an amazing story behind it. 8- the old souk (market alleys) that it is like a maze 9- hammams (public bath) one is still functionning, and you can visit 3 historical ones 10- some tripoli traditional food like moughrabiyeh, hummus... and some amazing refreshments that are only in tripoli (slushy frozen lemonade) and alot more to visit and try... if you want, on your next visit i invite you and all your squad for an amazing weekend in tripoli and the surrounding areas that are full of history

Nice but too bad you missed so many places in the 2nd largest city of Lebanon which has so many authentic places, nice genuine people and so much history to see especially when you visit the old souq ( which you did not ) in both Tripoli and Mina, mosques which are plentiful and most of them are ancient and the biggest castle in Lebanon which you also missed.. too bad only 2 hours were dedicated to an important city which is already neglected by the government and ignored by the rest of other Lebanese who are not from Tripoli
I really love to visit more of Tripoli but we don't have that much of a time to explore them all. I assure you though that on my next visit, I will be checking all of those historical places and share them with you guys🥰
@@worldnomac You are free to visit any place and any city..it's your choice and your decision. What bothers me as a viewer, as a Lebanese who is half from Beirut and half from Tripoli is that you stayed in Lebanon for few months and visited the same cities and towns multiple times and even you stayed in batroun which is 20 minutes only drive yet you only had 2 hours rushing into this history rich city and spent those 2 hours not visiting not even an iconic place. It was very poorly planned trip and it felt rushed. if you do plan to visit again Tripoli, please give it some importance, learn about it, hire a local guide, and what i meant by that, someone from the area . And no, where you visited was not the heart of Tripoli as Fouad said, it was just one entrance to the city. Harry came back few days after and even though he did only a minimal exploration but I give him and Fouad A for effort, however, I can tell both needed a local guide to help them navigate the city and to show them where to go visit and mainly where to go eat since all you guys choices of places to ea were terrible choices. Please take this as constructive criticism and a message that I care. Good luck habibi :)

An Ancient city, in the last remaining Christian country in the Middle East (not any more...). Many/most of the cars are so old, is like the city is still in the 20 century. Sad

Tripoli? Lebanon? never heard of it. I've been to Tripoli, Libya. Same place
Nice but too bad you missed so many places in the 2nd largest city of Lebanon which has so many authentic places, nice genuine people and so much history to see especially when you visit the old souq ( which you did not ) in both Tripoli and Mina, mosques which are plentiful and most of them are ancient and the biggest castle in Lebanon which you also missed.. too bad only 2 hours were dedicated to an important city which is already neglected by the government and ignored by the rest of other Lebanese who are not from Tripoli
I really love to visit more of Tripoli but we don't have that much of a time to explore them all. I assure you though that on my next visit, I will be checking all of those historical places and share them with you guys🥰
@@worldnomac You are free to visit any place and any city..it's your choice and your decision. What bothers me as a viewer, as a Lebanese who is half from Beirut and half from Tripoli is that you stayed in Lebanon for few months and visited the same cities and towns multiple times and even you stayed in batroun which is 20 minutes only drive yet you only had 2 hours rushing into this history rich city and spent those 2 hours not visiting not even an iconic place. It was very poorly planned trip and it felt rushed. if you do plan to visit again Tripoli, please give it some importance, learn about it, hire a local guide, and what i meant by that, someone from the area . And no, where you visited was not the heart of Tripoli as Fouad said, it was just one entrance to the city. Harry came back few days after and even though he did only a minimal exploration but I give him and Fouad A for effort, however, I can tell both needed a local guide to help them navigate the city and to show them where to go visit and mainly where to go eat since all you guys choices of places to ea were terrible choices. Please take this as constructive criticism and a message that I care. Good luck habibi :)

Wow. Is this a video on denial? Tripoli, once, all long history, one of the most beautiful, interesting and touristic cities in the Mediterranean sea. An Ancient city, in the last remaining Christian country in the Middle East (not any more...). Many/most of the cars are so old, is like the city is still in the 20 century. Sad
