That was part of why they formed Steel Panther. They wanted to do serious music but they also wanted to have fun while doing it. They loved chicks and partying and weren't ashamed of it. 8:38 I was there. Here's what's going on: They just began to play Community Property". This was in Cleveland at Jacob's Pavilion. Directly behind the stage is a canal that opens up into Lake Erie. About 20 seconds into the song, a ship begins to pass behind the stage. They pause the song because that's a big ass boat. Satchel says "Honk if you can hear me"! The boats honks and the crowd cheers. Michael proceeds to say "Honk your horn if you like pussy"! There's a lasting moment of silence... ... ... captain lays on the horn. The crown went fucking wild! Then they pick up where they left off on the song. One of the most memorable concert experiences of my life.
I thought he overdid the makeup thing a bit, but I never took him for gay. I think he was much better at the comedy banter than the new guy. Classier, relatively speaking, being in Steel Panther. I think Satchel was too hard on him. They showed a clip of the interview. I think he could have been about more in interviews than primping himself, looking in the mirror, and saying it was mostly about looking bitchin'. I think had they just communicated: "Are you actually gay?" (not that it would have had to be a prob., but you'd think it'd come up) "Maybe you could talk about more than looks in interviews, and do more than fiddle with your mirror ..." it might have come out different.
He said "you're gonna break that, and then you're gonna cry like a little girl, in front of all these people" without missing a beat dude said " well then, I'll be careful" and I laughed until I cried.... I don't care who you are, that was funny
this band is not digging up for just money but to enjoy the moment every gig, I think 98% comment ive read about this band is positive and enjoy the gig

I first heard their song "Eyes Of A Panther" off the Skate 3 soundtrack and I legitimately liked it, that song is damn awesome. But I never knew they were a comedy band, they're really fucking funny off stage. 😂

I think they know they’re way past their prime, even though they’re awesome musicians and singers. I think they do it just for fun to stay young. They’re like 53-57. Rock on boys.
