I also wanted to mention that I’m happy for those kids who do get recruited, it allows them to get more exposure and gives them better shot at playing at the next level. I’m also proud of all the Polynesian representation from Mater Dei, St. John Bostco, etc. They’re putting on for the Polynesian community too! 🙌🏽 I got nothing but love and support for them.

These two teams are in different classes on different levels. It aint close really. Thye would need an all-star team from every island to compete with Mater Dei.. Hawaii has really good football and damn good players. this isnt a knock on them, it's a recognition of Mater Dei and their dominance.
Kahuku doesn’t recruit nationally or out of state, they cultivate and build their program with kids who live in the area. And that’s just a small town too compared to Mater Dei.

On the whole west coast such as Nevada, Utah, Washington etc. Even the ones in Hawaii, Samoa, Tonga etc have family in California and other places. Some of the ones you see on Mater dei are actually from Orange County. When you see the polys on mater dei just know his cousins are at another school such as bosco and other Cali schools playing football also. Some even in other places especially in Utah.

Florida just do a better job of keeping their talented kids in the Public Schools where they can still compete with the private schools. That's Cali Public School issues folks talk about the coaching in Florida BUT look at the coaching at the Cali Public Schools when they Mater Dei and St John Bosco
@@lorenzoworld8119 you can’t attend private schools out of your district here if you don’t have a valid reason to do so. That’s what out of state people don’t understand, if you go to your district saying how you want your son to go to mater dei or bosco for athletics they will turn you down and make you attend a private school in your district LOL. I have even seen people with valid reasons and actually real proof of address that just moved from a different county to another denied and even seen plenty that had to sit out 5 or more games because of it. You need plenty of paperwork like current utility bills etc when trying to do so, it’s not surprising that so many parents actually go and move to different area’s especially when majority don’t own their homes and are renting. This is also why over 95% of the players at mater and bosco have earned their stars and been at the school since freshman year, so the few transfers that bosco and mater dei do get. Just know there paperwork must be valid enough to attend the school, if people actually from out of state did their research they would see so many players that had to miss games or put ineligible out here.

Every year Ca schools know they’re competing for #3 in the state, MD & SJB will fight for #1.. The open transfers in the Southern Section of CA have gotten Ridiculous!!! I think most JC’s couldn’t compete with these two HS teams!!
