- Watch as we take a road trip around the southern tip of Albania. Albania has been so surprising and we truly love being here. We rent a car in Sarande and visit the incredible Butrint, see some incredible historic monuments and structures, full of Tortoises (although we referred to them as Turtles in the video)
We also visit The beautiful Blue Eye, seeing Albania's beautiful nature, before finishing our day in Gjirokaster, a traditional Albanian town. Travelling in 2020 brought us to Albania, although not Originally part of our itinerary, we are delighted that we came. The Balkans is definitely somewhere worth visiting.
Our Accommodation in Sarande was only 13euro per night.

Liked the video, well done, but a bit disappointed on 2 min time only for my Gjirokastra! I was hoping to see more of your coverage about the town. Not that it is my town and bragging about it, but you really missed everything from a town that is also a UNESKO heritage, and one of the rare Jewels in architecture point of view of Albania. However, i hope you will have a chance to visit again in the near future. Great job. Appreciated an honest view of my country.
Hi there, thanks for your comment and for watching our video, we arrived at Gjirokaster after visiting the blue eye, but unfortunately it was too late in the day, but we loved it so much we actually booked to stay there. Our next couple of videos will be from our time in Gjirokaster. We stayed in Mele Guesthouse and spend 10 days in Gjirokaster. Hopefully you will like our videos from there. To bad that you only had the car for one day. We went to Botrint and spend 3,5 hours there. Really a interesting place with more than 2000 years on its back.
There are many posters around that's explaining what you see. There also is a little but very good museum at the castle.Not to mention the custodian at the museum. Sorry to say it, but this time you didn't tell the best story. But still... You present the country in a fine way.
Yes a regret was not staying at Butrint longer, would have liked to spend at least half a day there, but unfortunately we were under pressure for time 🥲

I don’t know where to begin with this video other than saying WOW!!!!! I am lost for words how beautiful the locations were, especially The Blue Eye and the glorious drone video you captured.😍 Also I enjoyed the almost 20 minute length of it👌 (was it a monster to edit?)

The locations were really so impressive we were really blown away, yeah the video was a little longer than normal, believe it or not It was actually longer so I had to reduce it 😆 I could have included 10 more minutes of drone clips 🤣 I think just under 20 was enough 🙌

First time I visited Butrint was in 1985-6 , school trip, that area was so virgin that you feel like you time traveling on old Skoda bus . I remember we have to go through few military check points before we reached the destination.
The only good thing that time the access to the park was free 😀.
I love that park and visited 2-3 times already with my kids.
Is one of must visit when you’re in Albania.

just to correct v for butrint, in history he writes Greek and Roman, but in reality he is Illyrian! when archeology and history began to emerge who is older! Italy and Greece were democracies ,, and took over the entire Illyrian history ,, (Albania) was dictatorial and closed!
