It’s not how much you spend, but how much you save. 😀 Yes, I know that’s not really true, but we will seriously never see prices like this in Canada again. This is no ordinary sale. I missed out on Claudie’s bakery, which looks awesome, but I did get Kavi’s set. Now I just have to figure out where to put it and the rest of the stuff I got. I will need to sell some of my Barbie collection to make room.

Hi Sofia, I wonder if there is some way you can use temporary green makeup without dying her green? Maybe some green powder? Just a thought. I like the idea of Josefina having a sister doll. Singing Bird is a great idea. I love Kirstin. I need to read her story to learn about Singing bird. I have been on the look out for magic attic dolls at thrift stores but have not seen any. Congrats on your big doll haul! How exciting.
I have those dolls inherited by accident, and just love to dress them. I place them in ethnic dresses even Native American and she looks wonderful. Number 29 I got in 2012 so she had a different meet outfit. I was working in an at risk pediatric clinic with children from all over the world. So that doll fit nicely and reminds me of some of my patients from South America. 42 I don't have but she looks wonderful. Magic Attic doll you can find a replacement part for the arm. Just wonderful.
Love D&D! I think it would be very fun to have a large size character doll. I can see your reluctance about the green. I am making a minime doll and couldn't bear taking apart a brand new doll. I was lucky to find a cheap Blaire with a fried wig. Since you did not pay shipping, your new doll is a similar price to what I paid for the Blaire + shipping. 🤔 😊
That is some of my thinking too. Living in Canada, realistically I could probably not find many dolls cheaper then hear when you factor in shipping so if I did want to customize a doll, she might be a good choice.
Hi, Sofia! I look around at various videos on UA-cam, and one day, I ran across one where someone wanted to create a Singing Bird doll, to be Kirsten’s friend. She asked around to various people what she should do, and one day, she found a Magic Attic doll, and it was Indigenous! She also got a teepee (tipi?) and other accessories with this doll. I think she bought the doll and her stuff as a lot. The doll she bought looked EXACTLY like the artwork of Singing Bird in the Kirsten books! The resemblance was absolutely stunning! I suggest doing research on this doll, and the Kirsten books artwork, before you do anything--I think the doll in the green dress reminiscent of Melody’s might be her. And she might be perfect for this project. I’m sorry I don’t remember the name of the young lady or anything, but I do remember what she did. Also, regarding the doll with the curly black hair (#82?), please make her into Josefina’s cousin or sister, a member of her family some way! Also, I don’t think you should dye the other doll as that dye stuff can be hard to remove, and sometimes there are other disasters with dyeing dolls. I have found that out, too, from watching various videos. I think you have found some gorgeous dolls, and you have some good ideas for them!
After doing some research, I also found someone using the Magic Attic doll for Singing Bird! I do agree she looks very similar to the book illustrations. That is also a consideration...I'm still not 100% sure what I want to do with everyone!
I have bought a lot from the Indigo clearance. It’s nice you were able to get some dolls from your local store. Mine only has ones I already own like 91 and 77. I think some people are returning some items they bought online, since I think many of us got overzealous. I had a small AG collection before and will now be selling some of my Barbie collection to make money and room for more AG. I look at it as a one-time event. After the AG stock is cleared out, we certainly will never see prices like that in Canada again.
I am married to a Seneca Indian here in western NYS . I am using a Josephina as my Seneca girl. The darker the hair the better. AND if anyone decides to use real deerskin for a dress the hide will turn the plastic orange, so protect the arms and legs with leggings
I'd say Kaya would be a good singing bird just because out of respect. Even though Kaya is from the nez purse tribe and i believe singing bird is chipaw.
Actually, I don't really like videos where people list how many dolls they bought and how much or how little they paid for them. This so often, not always, seems like showing off. But I'm very happy for you. And the video is great fun!

Maybe that might work! I'll have to throw around some ideas to figure out how and if I want to turn her green. We will see how it goes!

I have a green doll but I didn't dye her she turned green from age maybe you could find a doll like that to use for customs ❤

Maybe swap the 29 and 42 wigs ? I think it could help singing bird to have black hair
