So.. they're trying to be "woke" but it's just annoying. And the show is obviously not that progressive, anyway. Almost everyone is white, and all the gay characters are sidelined. All the girls are skinny and pretty. All the parents are heterosexual, except for Archie's mum.
I read that the comics had two branches, one where he married Veronica and one where he married Betty. Guess which one he was happy and not miserable in? The Betty one.

Everything meshes so well together just like the special relationship they have with each other. They have history and always held something of the other. But yeah, Jughead was always jealous of Betty's feelings for Archie. I don't know about Veronica, because Archie never openly showed much interest in Betty, but Veronica seemed a little bit insecure.
