I don't understand how anyone at Forest should "get nervous". It's a miracle they are in the PL. Cooper was brought in to fire fight relegation to League 1. And he got them promoted. It's a free run to the bank for them this season. Even if they go down with Cooper they have a very decent chance of coming straight back. People forget that the reason Forest made all those signings is because they got promoted with a shed load of loan players that went back to their clubs. They basically had no squad.
This is what every Forest fan would tell you, fucking ridiculous that news still go on about how many players we signed without talking about how many left.
Absolutely right, he performed a miracle to get us up, and I wouldn't put it past him to keep us there. The one thing we have that rivals around us may not is absolute support of our manager and understanding that although we're struggling in the prem, we're only there because of him.
Ram In Peace. At this stage I can't see a change in manager being a good move. As the caller said, Cooper's the man for the worst case scenario of going down. I hope they stick with him, that they stay up, and have a better season next year. As for Forest fans, they're among the best out there, and may their loyalty get rewarded. Best of luck Trickies.
Deserves his chance on both fronts. To save us. To bring us back up. He’s the best manager we’ve had in decades. The only man to believe in this club and the fans. It really means a lot to this man. We will stick by this man. No matter what happens. Bought absolutely loads of dross. A lot of these players don’t deserve to wear the shirt. Simple.
Second time this season that the media have sacked him. Stop it. 99% of our fans are fully behind him. If we go down, we go down. He's done more as a Forest manager than any other manager we've had in the last thirty years. We were a long way behind everyone when the season started so to even be in with a chance of survival is fantastic. Are we happy with the performances? No. Is the football good? No. But Steve's been handed a trickier hand than any other Premier League manager.
We've got the 20+ year experience of a manager merry go round and know from bitter experience that swapping managers guarantees nothing. It took us nearly THIRTY managerial changes until we got to Steve Cooper to take us up. Even if Cooper ends up just taking us up for just a year we know that we don't have a devine right to be in the Premier League and there is absolutely no guarantee that things would have been different with any other manager. We also know from experience that he is capable of bringing us back up if we do end up going down. It may seem naive but I find our loyalty to Cooper refreshing. He didn't just get us promoted to the Premiership, he also saved us from a relegation fight in the Championship last season.
That's the main thing. You sack a manager if they are drastically underperforming. I said I'll take 17th everyday of the week and if anything he's over performing because we shouldn't really be in the prem anyway haha
It's players like Lingard and the way he's mugging off such a great Club with such a huge Tradition as Forest which is making me fall out of love with the game.
A gamble switching to another manager is not one 8 would want the owners make, Steve Cooper brought back the feel good factor back to the club and the city and I would defy anyone that thinks they could better this season under the circumstances of what he and his staff had and have at hand. Away form in terms of results has been dire and could well see us make a quick return to the championship. A lack of goals from others has been our downfall, late goals in both halves too regular. Personally I love the guy and if we were to lose him I'd be extremely saddened after such a tremendous last 12 months.
Forest need to stick with Cooper and let him do his job. If they go down then is it really a surprise; odds are always against newly promoted teams. What does need to happen; is either Forest bring in a better Sporting Director or simply just back off and let Cooper do his job. Too many clubs playing football manager when they need to just let their actual manager deal with his team
Throwing out a manager with a new squad believing someone not knowing the player (when Cooper first now starts to understand who can work with who) is like believing in miracles. But I guess people rather live in dreamland than in real life. Fact is Forest is doing better than expected. Most believed they end up as the last team with 19 other teams about them. People need to understand that if Cooper manage 19 place or higher (with a complete new squad and therefor lesser teamwork than any other team in the league.) Then he been greate AND lucky. Any manager will have been lucky then. If Forest stay up it is Premier League history. If Forest trow him out and belive someone not knowing the players and the team will just glide in and do better, then it shows that they not think longer than their own noses. Believing in miracles and not reality. And then we probably wave goodby to PL the next 23 years complaining and hating in that good old a toxic style.
As a Forest fan, I believe that we need to stick with Steve Cooper. Even if we are relegated then I feel that they can bounce back at the first time of asking if SC remains inpost.
I hate the toxic nature that Jim White particularly gives off on this show with his know it all sidekick Simon Jordan, they seem to love rubbishing hard working decent people like Steve Cooper by calling them a failure, yes it is a cut throat buisness I get that, but there are also some clubs like Forrest or Norwich who go through periods of relegation & promotion, some teams just about manage to stay in the premiership every season & the others are in a scrap for survival, its been like it for years now. The bottom line is there are almost 3 leagues within the premier league & so few teams have any real success or win trophy's because of how money rules the game, the top half generally have the big money & managers, the others teams in the middle want to aim for the top 4 but will normally stay within the middle ground unless you suddenly inherit that dream owner with money like Newcastle did, otherwise the rest of the teams are fighting amongst themselves for survival, I would bet everything that those managers are sweating blood sweat & tears for the fans & the owners, rather than themselves, their day isn't 3 hours long like Whites & Jordan, its an almost all day job!
He’s the best chance to get straight back out of the championship next season BUT… very few of this squad will be sticking around after relegation so it’ll be at least 2/3 years before we get another chance to play in the PL and that’s still highly unlikely.
I'm a Leeds fan but I really like Steve Cooper, a man who always looks like he's freshly out of a headlock. Forest should stick with him right to the end of the season EVEN if they end up going down. Who else is going to come in at this point anyway?!
And we did stick with Steve Cooper, which explains why Nottingham Forest will be playing their football in the Premier League next season. If only we'd sacked the manager and brought in, oh I don't know, Big Sam...
Don't understand Brendan Rogers sacking , team and staff shocked . No investment, sold key players, I kept professional. I think Leicester are down now and he would have kept them up. I am a Leeds fan so great for us, but I do believe Brendan is a good manager. Owner is nuts and doesn't understand
Steve Cooper is, without doubt the best Manager for Forest. Obviously I want Forest to stay in the PL, but if I had to choose between staying up but losing Cooper or going down and keeping him, I'd choose the latter.
Trouble with sports media in this country is that if your a player with ability they want to move you on to a bigger club otherwise your player with no ambition.....if your coach/manager they just want to get you the sack.....lot of failed middle class grammar school boys become sports journalists.....bitter?....just sayin'.

Leeds had the a similar situation with Bielsa. The fans loved him, We felt also that if Leeds were to be relegated, Bielsa would have been the best person to get us back up. Whilst Marsch did in the end, keep Leeds up, it was down to the players that Bielsa had nurtured. For me, Marsch was nothing more than a come on for the Americans to commit to Leeds. I have to admit, that may have worked. However, Adams has thrown his heart and soul into Leeds Utd, but for me, what reason? Has he been lied to? Or, does he really believe, that, playing in the Premier League is where he belongs. I was torn with this fixture, and will be for the rest of my life. I'm a Yorkshire man through and through, then, I did a family tree, only to find that my mother's family came from Nottinghamshire. They were minors, and after a disaster, where six male members of my mothers family, all died on the same day, ages ranging from 8 to 40 assuming a mining disaster, or, a house fire, meant that the family had to progress through the female lineage. For that reason, my name is Tanner, I didn't like Steve Coopers comments about Leeds whilst at Swansea. His sleepy eyes make him look dozy. Of course he isn't, but, he's only in the Premiership because of a lucky own goal they got against Huddersfield, who too were in the final because they had trusted Carlos Corbaran to take them for relegation to the play off finals, and yet, Huddersfield saw that as a failure, Look at where they are now
You mention the word luck a lot but you should know that’s part of any team sport. We all know that a team can batter another team for 89 minutes & then lose. I remember when we (Forest) played away at your beloved Leeds in the championship in your promotion year & you scored a very late on equaliser with a blatant hand ball. You got away with it so that’s lucky. It happens just accept it.
@@rayrichardson1082 Thanks for replying, of course I recognise how important a slice of luck can be of benefit. After all, When we won the Inter Cities Fairs cup against Juventus. Had that gone the other way, I would be debating with a Huddersfield supporter right now.

I think Forest should be happy they are still in with a great shout of survival as Jim said at the start - a win or 2 and you're in mid table - plenty of games left and id see how it shakes out rather than sack Cooper.
it would be ridiculous if they sacked him and a stab in the back - they have overachieved even getting to the prem - they might have to Yoyo for a season but they may well survive.
Cooper is too good for Forest, they are evidently a championship club at best. He won't get sacked as its an unnecessary cost to pay him off when they are getting relegated anyway so hope for the best next season. It will be interesting though, they have a lot of players they need to sell and half of them wouldn't fetch a fraction of what has been paid. Never any guarantee they will bounce straight back, they were lucky enough to beat Huddersfield in the final to go up in the first place
I have never felt sorry for any manager that got sacked because they get paid millions for failure after the sacking so why should I feel sorry for any of them...... 🤔 ⚽️ 🏟

Chelsea already in most games dominate possession what is needed is a Manager that can rejuvenate belief and killer instinct within the senior players that will then help the younger players.. I honestly dont have an idea who right man could be but please not another potter or nambi pambi Artistic Philosophy manager
Forest signed 30 players , 28 were no good
The same owner had us bottom of the league before Cooper, Simon.
why not ? get on the MANAGERIAL merry go round have a nice day !
If he was called stevìe coperiguez. He'd be sacked already
If you like Potter so much....then let him coach the England National team over Southgate.
Nice likeable bloke, but his level is championship!
"managers got 2 b good from get go" u obviously 4getting where we were last season 20th facing relegation talk sense
Nottingham forest job this season was to stay up
We’ll said Simon Jordan Maranakis bankrolled and oversaw the whole revival, behind the scenes as well as on the pitch
Give me a great team and I will show you a good coach
Dean smith done it for villa the following season he got the sack
Postecoglou will end up at Forest!…..But when?
Isn’t football Great! I think it’s the only game where opinions are subjective and objective together 😂😂
Reports Cooper might get sacked are as redicoulous as reports Arteta might join real madrid next season. Two ends of the media bullshit spectrum.
Danny an Jim looks like to robbers in there black tops facing the judge mr jorden 😂😂
I think they’ll go down but should stick with him, they are the worst team in the league in my opinion.
i dont think we are ?? we need to have a sit down pal 😎
@@anthonymitchell8893 haha, ok mate.
In Cooper we trust no 1 said it was goin 2 b easy ❤🔥🌲
Cooper is too good for Forest, they are evidently a championship club at best. He won't get sacked as its an unnecessary cost to pay him off when they are getting relegated anyway so hope for the best next season. It will be interesting though, they have a lot of players they need to sell and half of them wouldn't fetch a fraction of what has been paid. Never any guarantee they will bounce straight back, they were lucky enough to beat Huddersfield in the final to go up in the first place
Sack him for what we are here because of him he was given 30 new players give him and them a chance
Knew he was a clown when he played a second team in the fa cup, killed momentum ala like O'Reilly with Villa years ago. 😂
I have never felt sorry for any manager that got sacked because they get paid millions for failure after the sacking so why should I feel sorry for any of them...... 🤔 ⚽️ 🏟
