Wow, I’m nearly speechless Claire and Gary. What an EXPERIENCE and living here Down Under, where Europeans settled in 1815. To see this Great House here today, those rooms full of Art Works let alone full of memorabilia and that PEOPLE actually LIVED in these magnificent rooms, of course way, way above us in class distinction. It is just incredible and leaves me as I said nearly speechless. Queen Elizabeth’s Bedroom. She must have slept in that bed!!!! It’s absolutely MARVELLOUS and this is not even mentioning all the Gardens.
You must have felt exhausted upon reaching home again. I know my brain is overfilled with all I’ve seen THANKS to the pair of you.
Thank you both so VERY MUCH INDEED to have this opportunity to visit along with you. Though I do imagine the REALITY is way beyond experiencing it on Video.

Why it’s called Burghley “house “ & not a castle ⁉️🤔🏯
“Although it is called Burghley House, the property is perhaps better described as a ‘non-royal castle’. Back in the day it was built, you wouldn’t have wanted to upset the Queen Elizabeth I by calling your home a castle - even if it did look like one.” Got this quote on line it seems to be a good reason, you didn’t want to lose your head lol
