St. Peter when condemned to death for not apostasizing requested to be crucified upside down because he felt unworthy to die in the same manner as Christ. The "germanic people are superior and all others are subhuman" ideology also didn't help much. It's sort of difficult to convince the local population that they should want you here when you're also burning down their homes for being "sub human". Unsurprisingly, the Nazis had a partisan issue. An issue that grew the more they invaded and made several of their fronts unsustainable.
Wignats like making up excuses and saying that "If Germany did X they would've won!". Forgetting that Germany had made everyone an enemy, from the start, due to their ideology. You need allies to create a sustainable nation.
