Hopefully they invest more time in this than their Android 12 rollout. That update crippled the OnePlus 9 for the first few months.
Yeah felt like a downgrade till I got used to it( still a downgrade tho )
And very hot 🔥 too my OP 9 IS UP TO 47°C 🥲🥲
I don't even have the update yet ugh.... Like most in Europe or global don't have Android 12 on the Nord 2
Nah. They moved on from that if you have not realized yet
Agreed, Android 12 completely screwed up my great experience with my Nord 200
as close to stock as possible? what?
It's quite sad seeing such a wonderful company going downhill this quick. They've settled.
This looks amazing. Let go of the nostalgia dude.
@@GAMEBOIMARCUS no it doesn't, my phone is crippled from oxygen os 12. Media storage by OnePlus is taking up double the storage space on my phone. It writes literally every file TWICE. I used to be able to play games at least at 60 fps now the frames drop left and right. Unbelievable how they still haven't fixed this issue. It's awful
@@fadeawayjay887 OOS 13 is better than OOS12 in every way, even beta version is more stable
have been browsing the oneplus community app recently.. funny thing is: people have been saying "OnePlus settled" even back in 2015 lol
@@mays7n yeah, unfortunately it made them an easy target. They still make quality devices.
I absolutely hate everything that came after oxygen os 10. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one. This one's no exception.
yes you're not alone who hate their new updates, i got so many real life friends ,who all hates OnePlus after 10
pfft... what prevents you from taking a phone on a naked android? A new future, a new experience. Why get stuck in the past?
Honestly... my complaint was that OxygenOS was starting to look ugly and half-baked, ever since v11. Then in v12 it got really buggy. I think OnePlus was just taking their time to fully integrate these 2 software development teams. And this 13 update looks to finally iron out the kinks. It looks really clean imo, nothing looks visually out-of-place, and I'm digging these new features! MY FINGERS ARE CROSSED 🤞🏾
It is just Color OS people. 9 Pro is my last OP.
@@joaoomega6627 Yeah but is ColorOS really THAT bad? I mean it's stuffed with cool & useful features! And it seems like they don't get in the way of you don't need them
@@c2thaj2tha71 buggy, slow, issue after issues. Fix one broke another. No thanks
@@joaoomega6627 ...oh it's like that huh. Well I've never had an Oppo phone, so I wouldn't know
how bout the fact the clock is under the selfie camera at 2:32
Absolutely hate that they removed the hidden app drawer where you would just swipe to find all hidden apps. Now they're all blocked behind a passcode.
Guys and gals, this isn't the place to vent your frustration over OnePlus' issues. Frankly, there's no place for it, because OnePlus doesn't give a shit. They didn't care when they started pushing out shitty flaws and you needed tech support. They didn't care when prices started climbing and taking illogical shortcuts with their hardware. They didn't care when they merged with Oppo. They didn't care when your phone was basically unusable during the 12 update. They didn't care when they lied to you. They didn't care about alienating their most popular hardware in their updates (probably for the better). They don't give a fuck about your feelings in regards to OOS13 either. They don't care.
Get off the bandwagon, lick your wounds, and deal with it. There's tons of great phones out there with great quality of life and consistent updates. It's not the end of the world.
Sorry for sounding harsh, but you need it. Dad out.
Thanks dad
Oneplus literally released a statement basically saying "weve heard the community and were listening to you!" in reguards to merging ColorOS and OxygenOS. So no, if we complain hard enough, they will take action.
1. the oxygenOS 11 feature: SWIPE HOLD GESTURE that takes the user directly into the SEARCH APP BAR should come back
2. the search bar (i.e. ONEPLUS SCOUT) found at the top of OnePlus' SHELF should be at the bottom of the screen floating, so as users swipe we don't lose site of it: as far as SCOUT's functionality goes 👌🏿

I already accepted what OnePlus has become and yes i do miss the flagship killer company they used to be but, it is what it is. I don't care if OxygenOS and ColorOS are the same i just want a stable and smooth OS. Traded my OP9pro for a pixel 6 cuz oxygenOS12 straight made my OP9pro unusable just to run into bugs again for my pixel 6 when android 12 released. If oxygenOS 13 is stable and smooth I'll def get ahold of the OnePlus 10T.
Amén
If you want 0 bugs then it's iPhone,Samsung or Xiaomi in that order
@@mike_nba I'm in the USA so Xiaomi is out of the question. I don't wanna go back to iphone i like how there can be variations of android with different companies. For Samsung i have to spend at least 800 bucks for their phones. That's why Im opting for the oneplus 10t at 650 or get the OnePlus 10 pro for $400 off when trade it in at T-Mobile which makes it a total of $400 bucks with the 10 pro. That's only assuming if oxygenOS 13 is stable and smooth.
@@chieflingco don't buy 10T if u spending 650 wait for 10ultra or by 10Pro
Just buy the 10 Pro, in my country, the 12+256 GB model of the 10 Pro is the same price as the 16 + 256GB of the 10T
Fix all the private stuff that they broke in Android 12. They put everything underneath the phone app where you have to put your security code for everyone to see and then you have your "private" workspace.
When will you review the Flip, 4 fold 4 and the new watches?
I only wanted oxygenos to be a clean stock android with pixelish UI. But oxygenos has more coloros with miui vibes. I'm really disappointed so my 8T is probably the last device I bought from them.
You can always flash it.
Nameless has a good reputation.
I don't like the A12 quick menu style at all so I'm happy with OOS12. I skipped the horrible bugs and went from OOS11 to crDroid (wouldn't recommend necessarily)
And now I'm back to OOS12
Man I really hope they release OxygenOS 13 for the first Nord as well, it looks so beautiful
OxygenOS 13 have only ONE big change, now its FULLY ColorOS )
Unpopular opinion: The new UI, even if it's ColorOS, looks really really good
oneplus 9 here. i've had oxygenOS 11/12/13 & i'm the liking 13 alot! the fluidity is spectacular.
@@masennus2495 did they change hidden space or do you still have to use the dialer to access hidden apps?
Watching this a year later, on my new OnePlus 12 😊. This OS has been pretty smooth even after recent updates in June. It's not too much like One UI and it's been great! Swapped my S23 Ultra for this and no plan to switch back at this point.
I truly wished they could take the updates for the oneplus nord 2 more seriously.. I'm still till this day on android 11 and android 12 for the nord 2 only came out to some parts of Europe and India about two months ago.
The android 12 update that is out there seems also to have major issues for the nord 2 phones according to what I've read on the internet.
Nonetheless this will be my last oneplus phone that I will ever own.
I've been with oneplus since day one with the good old oneplus one, but this is just embarrassing to have android 11 on nord 2 yet updates for all the other older oneplus phones are dropping before they even start the process to update the nord 2.
I just feel left out and forgotten as a customer and it doesn't get any better when I see that the android 13 versions are now dropping as well.
I'm feeling the exact same. Got a Nord 2 a while ago, and still waiting for Android 12, while some of their phones are already on Android 13.
I get they it's a different chip and probably different to implement updates, but still...
Not coming back to One Plus after that, moss my One Plus 3 :-(
trust me stay on android 11
You're getting what you paid for. Even nothing isn't promising android 13 till first half of 2023... And they only have the one phone and a stupidly stock skin
@@AirTMZ “You're getting what you paid for..” HA! Spoken like a true white privileged individual.
And your argument is also very weak and here’s why.
Nothing company is a new company established 2020, a rookie in the game as one would call it.
Oneplus on the other hand have existed since 2013 and is considered as a well-established company at this point.
So, a more reasonable comparison would be with Samsung or even Apple since that’s what they’re most of the time trying to compare themselves with anyways.
With that being cleared I can now tell you that my Samsung tab s6 lite (released 2020) which is and always was cheaper is running android 12 since months back and my GFs Samsung galaxy A51 (2019) a much cheaper, older, and also lower spec’d phone IS running android 12.
And then you have me with a oneplus nord 2 still running on android 11 and the android 12 that is out the in mostly india is far from stable... There’s no argument that is reasonable to justify the laziness and ignorance from oneplus.
I’m not even asking for android 13... I’m complaining that android 13 is being released to their prioritized phones and we with nord 2 are still stuck on android 11.
bruh stay on oos 11. oos 12 is shit on nord 2.
I've got a Oneplus 8T on the last version of Oxygen OS 11 and I downright refuse to update it to OOS 12
I made the mistake of updating it not realising it was OOS 12 and then immediately downgraded back
I did the same, and my RESET option in the settings doesn't work LOL
@@zenlondebot6128 You have to download a specific rollback tool :/
I'm also sticking with OOS 11 on my OnePlus 9 as I feel 12 is a step backwards in too many ways.
OOS13 is really great for stability
too sponsored talking... not so natural... after years of android/oneplus (since oneplus 3, i had almost all of them) I've jumped to iphone 13 pro...
I don't regret the change... they screwed with everything.. from camera to apps stopping working etc... even if I've tried reinstalling software apps etc... no result... now I'm transforming to an Iphone user...
I don't think One Plus can do anything to make me buy their phones again 😂
Op 2, op5, op6, op7pro, op8pro, ... And left forever. On my MI11 ultra and happy with it.
@@imroronoazoro OP7Pro was the perfect phone RIP 😭
Exactly why I left it. I sold the op8pro after 1 week. Lol pathetic.
The only thing they can do is to stop being like oppo. Stick to their roots
@@joshreyes4647 they are pretty much owned by Oppo!
Was hoping they'd listen and go back to more of an og OxygenOs look and feel but clearly not. Let's just hope this is stable at least
The fact that my OnePlus 7T hasn't even gotten OxygenOS 12 despite being the phone being less than 3 years old has really soured my relationship with OnePlus. My phone is becoming more and more buggy. I'll be going for something else next time.
Count your blessings, oos12 was a flop. Customer service actually recommended rolling back to avoid bugs I was having!
The good news is plenty of custom ROM support for that hardware, it can live on for a long time.
This is why I switched to iPhone
I wish OnePlus let us customize the lock screen more like the new iOS 16
Still rocking with the one plus 8T. Just got the update. I immediately uninstalled nova launcher. First time going with the stock launcher on a one plus phone.
How come no one ever mentions the fact that Android 13 removed the abilty to control your media output (bluetooth devices) from the volume button slider, and then stuffed it up in the pull down drawer. You used to be able to adjust these settings with volume controls even when the phone was locked. Taking away useful features like this is not a winning strategy.
I just watched a Color OS 13 hands on video, and this is identical hahaha
As close to stock as possible?
OnePlus went through a rough patch with the merge with OPPO. I never had much of a problem, but their software game surely took a beating for a good few months. I am glad to say now that their latest Oxygen OS 12 release is certainly a leap forward and it certainly feels amazing again. Not only does it feel amazingly fast and fluid, but there are many Color OS features that are really useful. From improved gestures like screenshot or reachability to things that they bring with their own apps, I think they are back in good shape. Looking forward to getting 13 on my OnePlus 9 pro.
Good to know. I'm thinking about getting an 8 pro now that they are cheap. For that price I'm willing to deal with a color os based skin even though I hate what they've done to oxygen os. But only if it still performs well.
I just bought a pixel 7 pro to replace my oneplus 8 pro. It's really meh with very few customisation options and I'm missing all the Oxygen extras. I am going to return the pixel and wait for the 11 pro. Thanks for a great video.
There is no 11 pro. OnePlus did away with the 'pro' models
@@ajcastaneda2832 I wrote that 4 months ago when it wasn't decided. I now have the 11 and love it.
Hopefully this is better than the last update. My OnePlus 8 5G constantly had crashing apps, slow startup and was just a pain to deal with
The very least they could've done is just giving us the Oxygen Launcher back! We can't disable app names on home screen, we can't change individual app icons! Purchasing a stupid oneplus over samsung was a mistake, at least One UI had useful features like goodlock modules!
At 2:25 you pull down the status bar and the clock is right behind the camera just unreadable, why you don't talk about that?
I feel like most people are only mad that OnePlus' public brand/image but the thing is, you can't fall in love with the brand, you gotta love the phone itself because companies are just companies.
I understand your point. But when a company makes promises and than lies to its customers. That speaks volumes about the company.
I have the OnePlus 10T and I just installed the update 13 and it's looks great I Love how they give us a little more on the oxygen 13 I been waiting for this a long time great video bro
I loved the blue wallpaper. From where did you get it looks 🤩
Two tactile switch buttons for OnePlus is recommended and will be a much have nowadays to all gaming phone, that will provide easy maneuver to your game, so that OnePlus can compete now to some gaming phone like Asus ROG or BlackShark of Xiaomi, etc.
It's not a gaming phone so no utility.
Oxygen OS is perfect example of "Don't try to fix something which is not broken in first place"...No matter how much people try to defend OnePlus but the bitter truth is OxygenOS is ruined by OnePlus....
I mean if people want stock Android lmao go buy Pixel, why cry bandwagon on OnePlus or any other Android skin phones.
@@Fire-tm5bi You need to get some knowledge buddy, OxygenOS was never Stock android..it was always better than that..now it is almost color os...Lmao social media kids these days 🤣🤣😂😂
Im using one plus 9pro for more than a year now, and im pretty happy with it :) only the camera app is pretty laggy for me sometimes but elsewhere phone just doing its thing. Never lags charges very quick and battery life is perfect for me :)
Wdym bro,i miss the red accent from my phoneeee
I would like to say that please oneplus should add the super wallpaper in oneplus 9 series
It would be nice to see OnePlus push their AI and get better soon to the OnePlus 11 or make a OnePlus 11 pro it gives 10 times zoom that has great stabilization and wonderful color one that goes well in night and in action shots. That doesn't have horrible delay.
Oxygen OS 13 or Color OS 13😂😂😂
Both
Weird how tech enthusiast hate on Oxygen and Color OS.
Me personally if I loved stock Android that much I'd just buy a Moto Edge or A53 5G then install Nova Launcher 8.
Color OS ain’t bad. But Oxygen OS used to be so much better. That’s why the comments are filled with upset people
Hi, nice video , if someone can ask why OP removed the option of double pressing the on button to turn on the camera ??? ( on indian version)
I still have it on 8T on android 13.
I wish they made a premium version of the OnePlus 11 that actually had features in the camera similar to the OnePlus 9 pro which is little more premium than the one in the OnePlus 11
Maybe do one for ONE UI 5?
'As close to stock as possible' doesn't hold true anymore, bro.🤣
A reviewer saying this at this point of time just tells you don't want to tell the truth, bcos of sponsorship.
tbh I love the software the camera design my take me some time to get used to but software wise it's amazing
I wish they return the build quality of the oneplus 6 to the newer devices. Everything else is top. Got the OnePlus 10T after 6 years of using the OP 6. Still unbeatable with the reliability. 0 issues.
I’m switching from my iPhone 12 Pro Max to the s22 ultra I’m sort of new to android I had a note 10+ for a few months then sold it
I'm late to the party, but thank you so much for this video! I'll be buying two OnePlus 11's VERY soon.
Need them to add transparency adjustment for lock screen notification
You gonna review the flip 4 and fold 4 anytime soon?
It looks good but it doesnt have that authentic OnePlus look, it feels more generic like in the app drawer.
I wanted to go back to samsung for the sidebar function and screenshot. i hope the screenshot feature is the same as samsung.
You didn't showed the App Drawer Theme!!
Hey guys, Oneplus 10 Pro for $587, should I cop? Is there any better alternative under $600?
Why does Jud look and sound like he was forced to make this video and Oneplus executives held his family at gunpoint behind the camera?
I love my OnePlus 9 pro now that Android 12 is finally hopefully Android 13 will come out with a stable variation that will be released to T-Mobile OnePlus 9 pro
[laughs in Nova Launcher]
After all this time
lmao
Still using Oxygen 12 on my Oneplus 8. did they fix the warp charge in Oxygen 13?
Still on oos11 I have reverted to it twice now
what is that blue and gold alcohol ink wallpaper?
Home screen looping? Dark Mode? Stereo speakers? My first Android was a Samsung Galaxy Lite and it had Dark Mode AND home screen looping. Even my first LG smartphone, K7, has home screen looping AND Dark Mode. What took most other makers except Nokia Windows, LG until Android 10 to get Dark Mode?🤷🏼♂️
Can you do a AirPods Pro review please
I would love 120 Hz in games instead of just the homepage
Android 13 should just be a copy/paste of Android 11. A week after I got my OP9, there was an update to Android 12 and I immediately regretted upgrading. Unfortunately, I have a T-Mobile OnePlus, so I couldn't even rollback 😩
Did they fixed the problem with Gmail notifications ?
Any word of when it will be released???
a few question about OxygenOS13 because i simply cannot find it in the settings: (I am using a Oneplus 10 pro)
- how to i get the auto brightness button next to the brightness slider as shown in the video, my phone only has the slider, which means i have to go into settings to enable and disable auto brightness
- is there a way to change the size of the wifi and mobile data buttons in the shelf menu so they are small circles like the rest (like it was in OxygenOS 12)?
- is there a way to make the "back" and "tabs" button on the bottom of the screen reach the edges of the screen like in OxygenOS 12. because now they don't reach to the edges meaning i have to click more in the middle to make the buttons actually work
- is there a way to change the stock clock widget size so they fit in the center of the screen like in OxygenOS 12, because i've tried now and there is none that get centered after changing the size of the widget (i don't want to install third party apps simply to get my clock centered)
I will add more questions when i discover new frustrations with this new software "upgrade"
I used a OnePlus Nord n20 5g for a couple months before I could get my new pixel. I didn't mind the way OnePlus did things at all. It was on Android 11 I think, allot has changed since then. I thought they were really fast with updates. That's why I chose OnePlus. Guess I should have done my homework.
I still use this phone and I actually think it's great the screen is awesome
I moved from Oppo to Oneplus. Oxygen OS is not good like color OS because it not only lack useful features but also remove many useful features that have appear in before version like wake up screen when receive notification. I don't know why but it seem to be that Oxygen OS team don't research about user data to make decision.
I don't like the quick settings being eating up the whole screen but I guess it's more Android's fault than OnePlus'.
When is it supposed to be released?
We write it Oxygen OS13 but we reed it Color OS13
When is oneplus 8t getting the oxygen os 13
Today
why is the selfie camera covering the clock at 2:30 LOL
No mention of ColorOS... I wonder why.
what is this wallpaper you are using?
There is no font and you can't put the app wherever you want on the screen
still not having lockscreen personalization it's just unbelievable
How about review of ColorOS 13 now??
Go to personalize go on font and there is nothing in there to choose from nothing
Nice color os review..
You came through in the clutch
I like the wallpaper that is at the beginning of the video. What is it's name?
It's stock one plus
When I would get the oxygen 13 in India ,I have been using one plus 10 R
OnePlus has also decided not to sell through carriers such as T-Mobile with their best product to date, the OnePlus 11. Big mistake.
You can always buy it unlocked but that's not a viable option for a lot of people
lol the notif panel is almost like the harmony os
why can't i get google software features on my oneplus 9 pro?
Plz make back to school tech (budget) video.
Still to the day I keep getting the "game mode" pop up coming and going, coming and going when I open a game 🙈
I find that my oneplus 10 pro running android 13 is faster and smoother than my pixel 7 pro.
what model of OnePlus is it in the video?
aquamorphic looks like iphone icons :D
It's based on emui 12
Does UA-cam scroll at 120hz finally?
oxygen os 10 was more minimalistic, more customizable. i rolled back my 7t to android 10 because android 12 battery backup was very bad!!! now i have 10 hours sot back
where i can get those blue wallpaper
Man so many people in their nostalgic feels in these comments. Old OOS looked like trash, OOS 13 actually looks modern and useable
The apps in the toolbox can already be edited in Android 12 so not a new feature
